I would love to give this place 5 stars but I can't. I will say we really enjoy the food except the one time they put out luke warm microwaved crab legs. I literally got them right after the guy put them out and they were warm and stale. But he did come back and put out fresh 20 minutes later. Here is my reasons for the 3 stars. When you drive up the parking lot and front is dirty and unkempt. We have ran into the same guy for the last 3 or 4 years who begs out front. Now he has a bicycle just to give you a heads up so begging is paying off for him. There is trash on the floor... honestly I would pay him or one of the others a few dollars to pick up trash or offer a free meal. The other thing is they offer "no utensils" to eat crab with. They don't always have gloves and they don't have hand sanitizer or many gloves where needed by the plates. They protect themselves the staff all have gloves but touching the same utensils as everyone that comes in is just nasty. They don't enforce people helping their kids. I watched a kid holding different desserts to his nose sniffing them and putting back what he didn't want. Just straight up gross. Also unfortunately the reviews are true. The wait staff does hover over you waiting on their tip. We go there often always tipping 20 to 25% but the last time I made it clear to only tip 15%. Because they have made us all uncomfortable even though we are always polite and tip good. We used to leave the tip at the table but when we go up front, the cashiers ask about the tip. We have to tell them several times we tipped in cash. It's just rude I used to wait tables and always have cash out of courtesy. But because of their attitude we will no longer tip cash or more than 15%. It's a shame to see the service go down hill because we do enjoy the food. But if this continues we will find another place. Please don't give the guy money that begs out front and if you go after 7 pm, you will see the junkies coming out looking for their fix. It's pretty sad but obviously someone close by is dealing and it's definitely becoming a problem around the restaurant...
Read moreBy far, one of the most uncomfortable experiences I've ever had at a restaurant, it deserved 0.5 stars. There is no way I'm ever going back here as long as they continue this prejudiced behaviour & mentality. As other people have mentioned in the recent past- you are constantly stared down like a hawk watches its prey.
I believe this place may have been a target for food thieves or people who eat and don't pay because there is no other reason as to why I was constantly being starred at with piercing laser eyes by one of the employees, every time that I went to grab anything. I got the impression they were expecting to grab a plate full of food & make a dash for the door! The uncomfortable staring continued even as I was sitting down. Each time, I had to stare that female dog back down for her to stop gazing at me without good reason.
It was very tempting to report this behaviour to management but I felt it pointless because I don't think they'll stop and because I do not feel anyone at this establishment is competent enough in the English language to truly comprehend everything I needed to explain.
I am aware that racist behaviour is widespread and accepted in the People's Republic of China, but THIS IS THE UNITED STATES , treat ALL others how you wish to be treated. Leave all that fear mongering mentality in China, it's not that difficult. At the very least try not to be so obvious that you are targeting PEOPLE OF COLOR because a few may have done something wrong in the past.
Management: If you see this, please teach your employees better manners or you will continue to lose business. That's no threat....
Read moreFood is of high quality, especially given sheer volume of patrons. I went on a Sunday at peak lunch. Best to avoid peak times but if not, they didn't run out of anything, and have watchers. I noticed food being replenished at half way mark during likely one of the most super busy time, Sunday Noon onward. Restroom surprisingly clean, food quality excellent. Demonstrated care everywhere I looked, even mens room during peak! Always made sure I had enough hot tea. Spare ribs, rib eye steak, crawdads, they even feature beat tasting frog legs I've ever had. Poultry cook through the bone. If i had to eat raw fish I would here. Covered drop off and pickup zone under brick footing gabled permanent structure. It was raining. People waiting for tables to open spilling out into that area, that busy, that much volume served, yet they never ran out. Of a n y t h i n g . And quality was maintained in service and food. Unbeatable. As far as buffets, this Hibachi, on 140/92 Norcross toward Roswell/John's Creek is at the top of the foodchain for metro Atlanta. I will be back, even though I live in Acworth, for sure. Facility is good, well kept, serving hundreds- perfect for families, and if you're stark r@ving hungry and want good food on demand as fast as you can get it with huge selection and it’s all good. Something for all, vegetarian or especially if not. Superior. A1 steak sauce, what buffet does that? THIS one. Frog legs, crab legs, are you kidding me? No, it's real. They feed an army all the time and they so it with care. Don't know how but thwy did. Excellent management...
