Las Tortas Locas — Restaurant in Peachtree Corners

I used to go to this place when they were at the gas station. I used to also love the customer service at one point. Not sure what’s going on now but I won’t be back. I took my parents out for cinco de mayo just to grab a few tacos. One of the issues this place has is the language barrier. At least have someone at the restaurant who can understand and speak English on a basic level so when issues arise, communication will be more efficient.

I ordered 3 taco combinations and 4 extra tacos on the side. This should have been 10 tacos total. I told the lady at the cashier 3 times my order since I realized she wasn’t understanding me. She repeat it back twice and was still having issues understanding me. However, with patience I waited and eventually she got it right. I even tipped her as a token of appreciation. When I got my order, I realized there were only 2 combos and my father’s meal was not at the table- he was missing the last taco combo with steak and chicken. I told another lady that my father’s meal is not at the table and I thought she was going back there to bring it out to us. But we were waiting a while.

I finally got up to see what’s going on and I realized there was a bag at the pickup. I asked one of the ladies how long was my order was going to take, they all looked confused (again, language barrier). One of them pointed to the bag and said that was mine, so I assumed this was my order but I told them it was for here not to go. When I opened it there was a chicken, beef, and another taco in there but no rice and beans. I told them I only ordered a combo that came with two tacos and rice and beans. They act like they didn’t want to give me what I paid for as if it was an issue

Anywho, I ended up getting the rice and beans and I took the bag of tacos that they told me was mine. As we’re eating, two women working there came up to me to tell me that I took someone else’s food and I have to pay for it. Huh?!? I’m confused, you guys told me this was mines so what does this mean? I felt harassed and embarrassed and extremely upset because the language barrier was not good. Telling me to take the bag and then saying I have to pay for someone’s meal when you told me this was my meal is frustrating. Not a good experience.

This was a huge miscommunication and misunderstanding and I wish you guys made it right by apologizing instead of making me feel uncomfortable. But please, my advice is to hire someone who can communicate with other customers who don’t speak Spanish. I get it, it’s an authentic restaurant, but it’s good to cater to people who aren’t...

THIS IS THE WORST TORTAS LOCAS LOCATION TO VISIT. The employees here honestly just don’t want to do their job. I’ve tried this location on several occasions and each time we have a problem with the staff and the terrible customer service. We came tonight to eat in at 10:30 and this location closes at 11 PM. They told us we had to get our food to go and we could not dine in. It looked like they had already packed up most of the salsas and food in the fridge because they started bringing stuff out from the back after we ordered. My sister in law asked if they could open her bottle of soda and they said no because your order is to go. We asked to dine in and they said “we close at 11”. Normally I would’ve left but they had already charged us at this point. This location is terrible. Visit the Roswell Rd or Chamblee Tucker Rd location instead. Food is quicker and the service is a thousand times better.

Español: Los empleados aqui no quieren trabajar en varias ocasiones hemos comido aqui con mi familia y cada vez hay problema con los empleados y el servicio pesimo. Mi familia y yo venimos a comer a las 10:30 y cierran a las 11. Veniamos con la intencion de cenar y irnos pero no’s dijieron que teniamos que tomar la comida para llevar porque cierran a las 11. Se tardaron 25 minutos para entregarnos nuestra comida (me imagino porque tenian ya casi todo guardado en la cocina cuando entramos) el servicio aqui da pena. By the outside of this restaurant, we should have gone somewhere else. Empty parking lot, with tons of homeless around. We had to pull up to the front, because even with glasses on, we could not see the menu clearly, when we were ready to order, there was a young man who came in and she said if your not ready, can you move, instead of asking nicely, hey are yall ready, if not can I get the next person in line. Nevertheless, she was rude when I asked what the orange agua frecas was, it literally could have been anything, so not sure why there was an attitude. So we ordered. Our tortas were pretty good, nothing "LOCA" about it, but the TACOS had no seasoning, flavor, it was bland. We are on vacation from Texas and we LOVE tacos, but these lacked in seasoning and taste, we tried to get limes and my husband happened to ask for a bigger container to hold the limes, because we were trying to eat the tacos we bought and we thought maybe limes would help the flavoring (it didn't), well the lady said a bigger container is $3.00...you are giving them for free with the food, why in the world would you try to charge for a deeper container so he wouldn't drop anything. Very lame. Inside it was very boring, the restrooms needed some deep cleaning, I would not recommend...
