This review concerns a patent leather watchband I bought from the shop.

As someone who spent quite a number of years in the customer service field, I know that customer service involves not only the initial sale but also service after the sale.

I went to the shop in mid-March to have a new battery installed in a Timex watch. When I purchased the band, Sam was very helpful. At that time, he didn’t describe the band as NOT a “quality” product or a lesser quality product. He made no comments about it at all. It was dressier than my old band, finished well, and looked like a well-made, “quality” product. Sold!

After just over two months of wearing it less than once a week on average (I’m a daily Fitbit watch wearer), one of the loops broke on one side of the band. I returned to the shop last week to show the band to Sam, hoping he might consider replacing it. Not so much!

He told me that I had bought a lower quality product (wish he'd told me that before I purchased it!), and that I could upgrade to a leather band for $50. I didn’t take him up on his “generous” offer, disappointed that he wouldn’t and didn’t stand behind a product he sold.

Sadly, I will take my future...

When I was let in I asked , “Hey sir I’m looking to sell a piece of jewelry, can you help me?” He says, “Not today “. I asked, “sir can you maybe recommend me to a buyer that is potentially buying jewelry at this time?”. This guy referred me to Jared’s jewelry. I showed him my bag and receipt quickly and told him, “Man I bought this $15k 2 ct engagement ring from Jared’s , and I’ve never known them to buy jewelry back. He smirked as if I had caught one of my children in a lie. I knew then he just didn’t want my business. This was a foreigner and he was blacker than me.

Needless to say I went on down the street to some good white folks and they gave me a little under what I was looking for but I was appreciative.

All skin-folks aint kinfolks is the moral...

I had an outstanding experience at World Art Jewelry! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough—truly an expert in all things jewelry. I brought in several pieces, including yellow gold plating over white gold, ring resizing, and repairs, and the results were absolutely flawless!

From the moment I walked in, the owner greeted me warmly and took the time to explain every step of the process. The attention to detail, care, and craftsmanship on each piece were exceptional.
