Taqueria Maria — Restaurant in Georgia

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon at 1pm. Right around the time we entered, they began BLASTING music from the speakers which sat directly above our table. It was so loud we had to cover our ears. I had to shout in order to speak to others at my table. We then asked to move to a booth across the room, to get away from under the speakers. After we moved, we thought everything was fine… Until they brought out a live singer, who absolutely BLASTED his karaoke even louder than the music that was playing before. I have literally been to actual concerts that were quieter. It was so unbearable that we had to ask for food to-go so we could get away from the loud environment.

There is no reason for such a loud atmosphere at 1pm on a Friday afternoon while people are on their lunch breaks....

i had ordered menudo and sent it back after it was very bitter as if they had burnt the chiles although i sent it back they still wanted to charge me for it because i didn’t do it right away I wasn’t able to after the waiter wouldn’t come to the table to check in on us. the barbacoa was simple and dry. The fish tacos had said it came with rice veggies and beans when i got it I received 2 tacos plain just the tortilla and fish nothing else on it and it had no flavor at all and didnt even come with the veggies, rice and beans like it had said...

Me and my boyfriend were so excited to try Maria’s. The food was amazing 10/10 the service we received was not so great. No chips and salsa was given I’m not sure if we had to ask for it but the tables around us all got chips and salsa. Then our waitress never came back to check up on us after the food was out and we were needing refills. We had to get up and ask someone for a refill. The crazy part is it was not a busy night. But the food was good so we would probably order take...
