Food used to be good maybe 5-6 years ago but has severely downgraded and it's very disappointing cause this place used to be so good. First red flag was that the microphone used to take a drive thru order doesn't even work so you can't look at your options and order without pulling up and just ordering a typical meal you would know of that sells food like this place does. Secondly, I kinda found it unprofessional and rude to question what my child is capable is of eating or not eating. My son is over 2 years old and I wanted to order a burrito and the woman at drive thru just kept laughing at my option and questioned if my son would eat the meat..... I was asking her if there's anything wrong with the meat? Is the meat not tender? All of my questions were general questions to filter out what was best for my son. But the woman just said that everything was fine and that there was nothing wrong with the meat. I should've second guessed it..... but I'd been here before when it WAS good. Thirdly, my husband ate the remainder of the burrito and normally he won't get a tummy ache if the food is prepared FRESH and KEPT SAFE IN FOOD SAFETY STANDARDS..... based on what he told me, it seems like they leave their meat out for HOURS and do NOT refrigerate after an hour, don't keep the food in a hot place within 8 hours and whatever is leftover at the end of the night, they probably use for the next day.... 🤮 either that, or based on other reviews, I saw that they don't keep the area where they cook or reheat the meat CLEANNNN. CLEANLINESS IS THE CLOSEST THING TO GODLINESS!!!!! 😭😭 I must add that I definitely did not feel well after eating my nachos especiales either.... the quality of the food is just not there. You have better chances of ordering food at a Talpa over in Lilburn, GA than this place... I am severely disappointed. The food was expensive 🫰🏼 for what it had and what the quality was. The chicken nachos, (El pollo nachos especiales), are amazing! They have fresh avocado cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and tons of chicken included, and at one point I bought them every night after work four times in a row! No lie, when I called to order the nice lady who always answers the phone, Rosa new me by name. I could eat this every day and not feel bad. There’s a great amount of chicken, which is seasoned well and shredded all through the nachos. I would’ve never gone to this place passing by because it looks like a little shed, but do not judge the book by the cover, and underestimate how good this food is! 😋 Note: the menu is at the drive-through, but I looked at the menu on Google and called ahead. When you arrive you drive up and tell them you’re picking up and just go to the window and pick up your order. I cannot speak to the people who said they had a bad customer service experience or problems dining in. So for my 30 minute lunch I decided to stop here. I ordered a Quesadilla with chicken this is what I got for my order. I went to the lady and ask if I can get a little more sour cream since I only got a teaspoon and sandwich bag full of salsa. She said $1.50 for a side of sour cream. Small establishment so I hate even doing this. I understand inflation and economy tough with that being said I was disappointed on how my lunch was prepared and handled by ladies in the small kitchen and the teaspoon of sour cream then charge me when I ask for more .El Grill earned them 0 stars but I had to at least give 1. Mind u everything in the open in the back with a score of 86 from health department.
