I recently visited Al Madina, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! As someone who's always on the lookout for high-quality halal food options in the Atlanta area, this grocery store definitely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place is a community favorite. The store was bustling with customers, a clear sign that it's doing something right.
The variety of halal food items available here is one of the best I've encountered. Whether you're looking for fresh vegetables, lentils, meats, snacks, desserts or seasonings, Al Madina has it all. I was particularly impressed by the quality of their meats. They had such a wide variety of meat options (goat, lamb, chicken, beef) with all cuts of the animal available for purchase. They even have a deli station which is great to see, as it's not always easy to find halal sandwich meats.
Another pleasant surprise was the reasonable pricing. It's rare to find such good quality halal products at such affordable prices, and that makes Al Madina stand out even more. Whether you're stocking up for the week or picking up a few specialty items, you won't feel like you're breaking the bank.
The store itself is very clean, well-organized and well-stocked, making it easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.
When it comes to the fresh served food, we enjoyed every bite. We tried the chicken biryani, the goat biryani and the lamb shank. The lamb was so tender and fell right off the bone. It melts in your mouth with every bite- cooked to perfection.
Overall, Al Madina is a fantastic grocery store and eatery that I highly recommend to anyone in the area. It has quickly become my go-to spot for halal...

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.
DO ME A FAVOR AND NEVER DINE HERE.
i live an hour and 30 minutes away from Al Madina. I always come and support my fellow Muslims brothers and sisters. I stopped by Al Madina and picked up iftar, i come home and i see mold in the food.
I was upset and i called the restaurant, and they answered. I respectfully told them that I ordered food from you all and there was mold in my bread. The man who answered was absolutely rude saying it happens and he couldn't refund me and they give bread to every of their customers. I paid $30 for mold in my food?! The man didn't apologize and handed it to the man name Salaam. He spoke to me but he and the people with him were laughing as I was telling him there's mold in my food. I told him that I don’t appreciate the laughter and he should listen to what I have to say and he kept saying when you come back to order here, we will give you bread. He continued to laugh and this should just show to save your money and eat somewhere else but here.
I will not be ordering food from them ever again.
Absolutely disgusted at the behavior and the quality. Customer service is horrible. I’m very upset.
I know how the food business work, and selling moldy food can cause you to be in big trouble.
I will be doing what I can to get this...
Read moreYou ever walk into a place and immediately feel like you’re inconveniencing them by existing? Yeah, that was my experience at Al Madina Restaurant inside Al Madina Grocery Store. I show up, and they’re already running on food fumes—scraping together whatever’s left like it’s the last supper. Fine, whatever. But when the lady behind the counter dumps a chicken thigh in my to-go box, I politely ask if she can swap it for a breast. You’d think I just asked for her firstborn child. She gives me this look like, How dare you request the thing you’re actually paying for?
Then she hits me with the attitude—like she’s doing me some grand favor by letting me buy food. Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize I had to earn the right to choose my chicken. And when she made it clear she wasn’t swapping it, I just told her to keep whatever she had already thrown in there. I’d rather walk out hungry than deal with that nonsense.
And here’s the kicker—this isn’t even the first time she’s pulled this move. Same lady, same attitude, she did similar with some friends but I never thought it was that bad, like she’s guarding the food with her life. If I wanted to negotiate for basic customer service, I’d go to the DMV. Safe to say, I’m done...
