I had a bluetooth mic installed, for which I was quoted $75 but needed to pay cash because the credit card machine was down. Another customer and I was then advised to use the ATM next door. Upon my return, (maybe 5 minutes later) my truck was already in the garage being worked on. The other customer and I waited outside, near the door because the front door was locked, preventing us from sitting in the waiting room. When the job was completed the audio technician had me confirm everything worked perfectly. We then went inside to settle the bill, where I was told $100. Initially, I was quoted $75. Because of this disagreement, the technician went to get the owner who explained the additional charge and the reason for it. I reminded the owner of our previous verbal agreement: $75 and asked "why didn't anyone find me before starting the job and explain the situation?". He claimed they "tried to find you, to tell you", although I sat just outside the door. The arrogant owner then said "I was busy, it's $100" and rudely walked away with his piss-poor attitude, rendering unacceptable customer service. Needed to get a rear camera for my daughter's car replaced, googled and decided to go with Da Shop. In my mind, knocked two birds out with one stone, minority owned small business, I'm good with that. Boy was I wrong!! Met with the owner on a Thursday to set an appointment for Saturday morning. We agreed on a price, he wrote everything up, and then asked me to give him a call Saturday morning at 9:30. I traveled from the peninsula so I gave him a call, no answer. He did call back around 9:40 ( I was already in Norfolk) and said that my call woke him up. He said that he had a long night last night (whatever that means) and said that he was not going to be able to get to the shop until 11:30/12:00. I asked about our 10 a.m. appointment, he said and I quote, "I just told you that I had a late night last night." Stellar professionalism and customer service there!. I waited around in Norfolk for a couple of hours until he got to the shop so that I can retrieve my camera (left as a deposit) and found another shop at a lower rate and higher on professionalism. I don't waste people's time and I don't like it when people wastes mine!...
