Sarah is a dream come true!! I am pregnant and in my 3rd trimester, and I have a Black Tie wedding to attend in a few weeks. I couldn’t find an affordable dress that would fit the theme and also fit my big belly at an affordable price anywhere. Then I remembered I still had my sisters formal gown she wore to my wedding 7 years ago hanging in my closet, and the dress fit me, but was too tight around my belly. I called several dress tailors in the area trying to find someone who could potentially alter the dress to make it looser/fit around my belly. Given that the dress has the entire top part covered in intricate beading, no tailor would touch it. They were all too scared they would mess it up. Then I stumbled across Sarah, and I am so lucky I did! She’s about a 40 minute drive from me, but it was so worth it! She is the only tailor who was able to alter the dress to make more room for my belly, and kept the beads in tact! She also hemmed it so that there wouldn’t be any risk of me tripping, and attached the shawl so that it would cover my arms like I wanted. It was a very complex job, but she did it amazingly, and on a time crunch! She’s also super nice and a sweetheart and professional! 10/10 highly recommend! Best...

Sarah is an absolute lifesaver , and is the sweetest lady ever !!! I took my dress to her as a last ditch effort after another tailor shop in the area totally botched it while trying to take it in. This shop screwed up my very expensive fit and flare lace gowns I purchased for my daughter’s wedding so much though I thought I’d have to buy a new dress. .

Well , after several visits to Sarah, during which she worked diligently on my dress until it was perfect, there was none of the bulging , or wrinkling that had been created by the first tailor shop.

After Sarah worked her magic, my dress looked absolutely gorgeous !!!! I got so many compliments on it at the wedding and I’m so grateful to Sarah for that!!. Sarah is the most talented seamstress I have ever been to, and I have been to many in the Hampton Roads area over the past twenty years. If I could give her 20 stars I would !!! I was in desperate need of a fix for my dress for my son’s upcoming wedding. I wasn’t comfortable with the top coverage of the only dress that I liked in the color that the bride-to-be wanted for the mothers. Plus, I was running out of time. After consulting with Ms Brown, she suggested adding a shrug instead of trying to alter the dress. She brought my anxiety level down from a mind blowing 10 to a “we can do this” 2. I found a lace that was the perfect color and she performed her artistry. Very pleased with her professionalism and craftsmanship.
