New Delicate China Restaurant — Restaurant in Norfolk

This place is terrible. WHERE DO I START!???? The food was bland because it it lacked taste, salt, pepper and flavor. I ordered shrimp and broccoli meal and there was small to medium size shrimp and barely any shrimp in the pan with little bit of broccoli. The white rice was just okay. The shrimp was barely cooked and not deveined. We also ordered chicken and broccoli, general tso's. I got chicken wings 4 piece this is my favorite, so I know a good Chinese chicken wings and fries meal and these chicken was not good this obviously a few days old possibly 2 to 4 days old. Mediocre to bland food at best. The place looked nasty from outside and the food to match not to mention the outside was kind of sketchy and shady wouldn't go there late at night or leave your car long. GO...

The food is awful! Do not waste your money. The chicken with cashews had no cashews, no flavor, mushy rice, and huge vegetables. Oh and they covered it with peanuts. The shrimp lo mein was too starchy. Almost like they used corn starch in their sauce and it made the noodles stick together. It was gross. The steamed dumplings were really mushy. They had no flavor, but the sauce that came with them made them edible. Finally, the egg rolls. It’s really hard to mess up fried food. Like, really really hard. But the inside of these egg rolls were also… you guessed it!! MUSHY. Everything about the food I ordered was saddening, because I really wanted good Chinese food. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent dining experience at your Chinese restaurant. I regret to say that my visit was nothing short of a disappointment. The prices for the food were exorbitant, and the taste was abysmal.

The dishes I ordered lacked any authentic flavors that one would expect from a reputable Chinese restaurant. It felt as though the ingredients had been mishandled and the dishes were hastily thrown together. I have had better tasting meals from instant noodles.

Furthermore, I was shocked by the astronomical prices on the menu. For the amount of money I paid, I expected a culinary masterpiece, not the unappetizing mess that was served to me. It's apparent that the prices do not reflect the quality...
