I am the manager of a motel in Florida, MA. I currently have 20 plus tradesmen stay with me long term working on two local projects. More than two thirds are Verizon wireless users. In order to help alleviate the problem I contacted the local Verizon store for suggestions. I was informed by Bonnie about the Samsung extender and that they were in stock. I travelled down the mountain to purchase one. I waited in line at the store and finally called up, only to be informed that I would have to talk to Bonnie, who was working with another customer. I finally sat down with Bonnie to transact the purchase only to be delayed again because the product had not been entered into their system. After paying in cash, at no time during the purchase was I informed about a restocking fee, if returned, nor did I sign anything to that fact. I returned to the motel to install only to find that the users manual was missing from the package. I went online to find the manual and was successful. I completed the installation and went back to the website to troubleshoot. I learned by reading the reviews that you may have to register the product with Verizon. On the first call, the baffled CSR put me on hold and never returned. On the second call the equally baffled CSR had no clue about the equipment I was working with and ended the call. I went to the Verizon store the next day to return the item. After waiting in line for 45 minutes I was once again called up only to be told that I would have to do the transaction with Bonnie. Fifteen minutes later he called me back up and said he could handle it. He checked out the item and reviewed my receipt. I am now informed that they don't have 318.74 in cash to pay me. I'm told that I will be called tonight if they get the money in or a courier from another store will bring it in the morning. No call that night so I called the store in the morning and spoke to Bonnie. She states that they did not have the cash in the store so she would have a courier bring it in the morning. I told her that I was told the night before that you would have a courier this morning. She tells me to call back later. I call back at approx. 3:00 pm and informed they have the money. I arrive at the store 30 minutes later wait another 45 minutes in line to be seen again. Rob calls me up to his counter to transact the return. During the transaction he tells me there is going to be a 65.00 restocking fee. I explained to him that the item didn't work, couldn't get tech support from Verizon, and the product had already been opened and missing the user manual. There is no way I am paying a 65.00 restocking fee. He spent about another 15 minutes supposedly texting his boss, the owner Keith and again informed that I would have to pay a restocking fee. I took my receipt and the extender and left. When the crews returned from work I repeated the trials of the day. They agreed that if this isn't resolved that they would all cancel their Verizon accounts and switch to ATT which works up here. I called Bonnie to inform her of this and she didn't seem the least bit concerned. I hope that not all Verizon stores operate in this manner.. P.S. So after being lied to by the online team and the fraud dept that my order was all set an on its way!! To finding out they cancelled it!!! AND I COULD NO LONGER PLACE AN ONLINE ORDER!! I could only go in store! I proceed in store now this is the 25th! To be told my whole application is blocked and I can’t do anything untill I call the fraud team YET AGAIN!!! I call get everything situated and head back to the store, to find out the FRAUD TEAM screwed up my app and had my social connected to a girl in Georgia!!they tried to blame it on the manager at the store !! AND I WAS SOOO PISSED THIS POOR LADY HAD BEEN NOTHING BUT NICE TO ME AN TRYING TO HELP ME GET WHAT I NEEDED AND THERE BLAMING THERE MISTAKES ON HER!!! MICHELLE FINALLY FIXED EVERYTHING AND I WAS ABLE TO GET WHAT I WANTED AND A FEW EXTRA THINGS!!! I just wanted to say u picked one hell of a manager!!! She is utterly the most professional and helpful person amongst ur team I have yet to encounter!! She did an amazing job an remained calm untill my issue was resolved ! Jon was so patient with my antics, he never once tried to pressure me into buying anything I didn’t want, and he was able to get me two new phones, an iPad and a new watch for next to nothing, I’ll barely notice the difference in my monthly bill! He helped me with the transfer of my device, talked me through how to take advantage of the perks I wanted, and he even sent back my old device for me.
