AR Designs Fine Art & Tattoo — Attraction in North Adams

What I love about AR designs is that it's clean and professional. The shop is beautiful. Abstract paintings and beautiful pictures cover the walls. She has a ton of cool artifacts and instruments. It really feels like you're getting tattooed an art gallery. Last time I came in Alexis made me hot chocolate and gave me York peppermint patties for me to munch while I was being tattooed. She also let me log into my UFC fight pass and watch fights on her flat screen TV.

My tattoo came out amazing!!!!!! I got a huge sphinx on my thigh. I couldn't believe how well the colors work together and I didn't think you could tattoo a 3-D image that well but she did.

Alexis has a fine arts degree from Tufts University and it shows. I was probably annoying and had a lot of questions about the colors and shading and so on. I don't know anything about art but I was very nervous to get such a big piece done on my body after all tattoos are forever. Alexis explained that color scheme to me and everything else Art Wise. She made me feel very comfortable and I was extremely confident and her ability before she even touched me with a needle.

I have been looking for a place to get a meaningful tattoo for my recently deceased mother. For personal comfort reasons, I only let women tattoo me. The first place I looked into that's the local cool, hip spot did not have any women employed as artists so I was VERY pleased to find that Alexis not only owns the business and space herself but she also has an ALL women staff.

Alexis was prompt with response time and flexible with scheduling. She helped mix and match hand writing samples to create what we wanted it to say. She was warm and welcoming while still strictly adhering to health standards. Incredibly precise line work while also some how maintaining a magically light hand.

Her designs are def fire because the alarm went off right as she was about to start tattooing me. We all waited outside until the fire department cleared us and the residents of the attached buildings to re-enter. Definitely a once and a life time experience. 10/10...

I am currently taking private art lessons from Alexis. She is awesome. Very good spirited, has a very...good positive vibe about her, personality wise. I'll be honest, I was very nervous about meeting her, felt...inadequate compared to her and also taking art lessons too (could not even draw a stick figure that well LOL). But, after I met her, I felt it was the right decision to make. Her paintings/drawings are A+++++++! One day, I will be right there maybe teaching alongside her LOL just kidding. :D Very professional for business, but also very friendly and charismatic. Pricing is reasonable too.
