NAIL FEVER — Local services in North Brunswick Township

The first time i came, i wanted a cheetah print design, i showed them a picture and they assured me although it wouldn’t look exactly like The picture they do have a stencil that could look close to what i wanted. Since I was unsure I decided to get something simple. The price of the original nails I wanted were going to be 65 as they stated. But as I said before I didn’t want to chance it. Lisa takes extremely long, it took an hour for a manicure !According to the picture my manicure looked NOTHING like what I wanted, i tried to talk to Lisa about it but she seemed to get annoyed.!!! Her service is terrible please do not go to her. Upon finishing my nails they looked nothing like what I wanted but they didn’t Look horrible so I paid leaving discouraged to come back. I wanted to give them a try to see if they could do the stencil because my best friend always comes here. The next date that I came back, which was almost a week 1/2 later, i came back trying to do the cheetah stencil design that I had came in previously for. Lisa recognized the picture as this was a recent interaction, I told them exactly what I wanted ( a manicure and pedicure ) Lisa stated it would take too long, she whispered to her coworker, and then they tried to tell me it’ll be 15$ extra for a design??? When last week it was 60$. It was extremely unprofessional and shows how lazy this place truly is. I left without spending a dime. I’m glad I left and I will never be back. because I wanted a pedicure as well. No longer coming here after 3 years of only coming to this salon. The lady who sits at the first desk when walking towards the main nail desk area absolutely butchered my nails, ripped me off, and was completely rude. I asked for a two color French tip with an almond shape acrylic and she was rushing the entire time which obviously made the work completely messy. The lines were all crooked, the colors had gaps in them, my nail shape was crooked, slanted, and when I very kindly only asked for her to add a second coat (because the one coat she put had gaps and was see through to my nail) she looked at me and said I’m only human. I promise I didn’t ask it in a rude way or asked for anything extra just a simple coat to make sure the color wasn’t going to be see through. So I simply said okay and she proceeded to do the coat, rushing through, still leaving gaps and making the lines crooked. I’m not the type of person to ever leave poor reviews and to complain, but to be that rude and so inconsiderate about the quality that she was doing and then to charge me $120, is actually insane. I paid and left and will never be going back. I actually went to somewhere in milltown for the girl to fix it, she did an amazing job and only charged be $35…..Unless Kevin does my nails, there’s always something wrong with them (this is 3 years of experience) and they are always pricey, but I never said anything until now. They lost a valued customer and I will be telling my loved ones to not waste their money here any longer.

Horrible experience. This was the worst experience I had at a nail salon. My nails were done by the owner, Lisa who tried to scam me into getting gel nails even though I told her I wanted dip powder. She ensured me that they were better and that it will last for three weeks. Well, in only two days the gel started to come off. I later realized she was pushing me to get gel nails because it could be faster than dip powder and wanted to make quick cash. Also, She did not file my nails properly with the nails being all different sizes as seen in the picture and tried to charge me an extra $5 for it. She also charged me $65 for gel nails which is absurd. She also lied and told me she was using all new tools but I never witnessed her open a new pouch of sterilzed tools. That is a HUGH problem. I didn't examine my nails until I got home but I immediately called her to explain my disappointment and she was very argumentative and accusing me for having short nails. What does that have to do with doing a horrible job? She told me she would only fix two nails and I would have pay for anything more which I refused. I will not go back to a nail salon that does not properly clean their tools with an owner who is trying to scam customers to make a quick buck, and who is extremely unprofessional and rude.
