Sapphire City Board Game Parlor — Local services in North Canton

I found out about this place from a newspaper article and was so excited to go. It did not disappoint! Sapphire City is located above the Main Street Grill in North Canton and has a sophisticated yet casual atmosphere with a welcoming and attentive staff. There is a library of hundreds of games of all skill and strategy levels to play for a $5 cover. You can stay as long as you like. Our group of 6 friends stayed for about 6 hours and had a great time trying a variety of games. Some is also offered here, mostly sandwiches and some sides. I had a Bard wrap and it was a really good take on a BLT, and some umami cheese chips which were great too! We also had Catan cookies, which were delicious and on point for the theme. As the shop awaits their liquor license, the place offers B.Y.O. for guests. Our staff was attentive and helpful with just the right level of involvement helping us choose games, sort through rules, and making sure we had our food and water. This would be a great place for groups, dates, double dates, or even families with some older kids/teens to go for a fun evening. The location is on the second floor of a building with stairs leading up, and I am unsure if an elevator is available, if accessibility is a concern. Awesome place! Went to check out the place with my HomeCare Provider to have somewhere to spend time. Place was recommended by Someone at Stark Board DD and The Workshop Inc in Canton. The owners of the Parlor were terrific, they had great service throughout the day and evening. The owners were helpful when we didn’t know how a game worked and gave great recommendations to try out new games! If you did not see a game to play or buy, they were willing to take comments about possible purchases. The food was great and the baked goods were so yummy! They were diligent about making sure you had enough food and drinks, and if you were enjoying the games. I will be recommending this place to many many people I meet, who need places to socialize, relax and have lots of laughs( which there were definitely a lot of giggles and laughter when my provider and I played, and no one was offended by how loud the laughs sometimes got).
