The only good thing about this course was the price. At $28 I wasn’t expecting a lot, however, it’s difficult to give this a higher rating than 2 stars. The greens weren’t that bad, but getting there was horrid. We had a 5 hour, 15 minute round. No Marshall and the “regulars” ahead of us told us they were in a tournament and this was to be expected. 4 groups were waiting to tee off hole #14 and I don’t find that acceptable. They couldn’t even offer us a cup of ice at the turn. The only cold drink on the course was offered to us by a resident with a cooler seller $1 cans of drink. There was a station with cold water but no cups to take water to the course. No definition between the rough and the fairway, Lots of clover. My advice is pay a little more and play a nicer course with...
Read moreLake Junaluska GC.does very well with the limited funds available for course condition upgrades. The greens are in good condition, but there are significant size differences, as any new player will see. There are a few holes where either your tee shot, preferred direction or the preferred tee shot distance, you really need helpful data. Best to play with someone who knows the course, or you may lose more golf balls than you're used to losing. Still, this is a very quirky, but very fun course to play. Availability is usually very good except Sat mornings, like most courses. Lots of hills, sloped fairways & some easy holes, & a few, pretty darn tough. I'm torn between 3 & 4 stars, but it's a unique play to play, & I do recommend you play it. A very friendly staff will be happy to...
Read moreThe course is terrible for 50$ the course is in horrible condition. There is no forgiveness for hitting a bad shot with the skinny fairways. It’s almost impossible to find a slightly miss hit ball because of the ridiculously long rough. There’s a 20$ fee just for a rider, for a course in this condition the price is absurd. Based on my experience playing this course I’d say they space the tee times apart by about 15 seconds, don’t be surprised if your waiting 20 minutes to tee off. It will take you 6 hours to play 18 holes. This course is like playing golf in a traffic jam on a one lane mountain back road. Lastly the cart paths aren’t even paved in most areas and there ridden with pot holes it looks like the highschool kids friday night four wheeling spot. 0/10...
