Dead bugs, hair, cracked paint on cinderblock walls, broken blinds, old furniture, musty smells, spiders, painted-over rust, cracked concrete steps, cigarette stains on counter and bathtub, no ice bucket, no staff on site (lobby is a room full of extra chairs and an old piano with an ice machine in the back), coffee pot in room had moldy wet grounds from a previous customer. I was kinda shocked this could be around a resort area. Wasn't expecting luxury, but this felt gross. The employee that came over to fix the blinds when they got stuck open was very polite and helpful. So he is the 2 stars. Otherwise staff on site is N/A (Also they use bright blue-white halogen bulbs in the lamps, which, to me, just makes a space harsh and unsettling. Just my opinion on the bulbs.) The rooms were clean. We did not see any staff, so I can’t really speak to the service. Everything was adequate but this building is very old. All of the walls are cinder block. Some paint was peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. Shower gel, shampoo conditioner and lotion were provided. The bed was comfortable. The rooms and bathrooms could use an update. No outlets at bedside. Very few outlets. It is basic but enough for a weekend. Some ladies said their rooms smelled mildewish. Ours did not smell bad.
