Brought my kids by the playground after a lap around the lake and the playground gate had a sign posted it was closed from 08:00 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. for a private event. Went home for nap time and my kids woke up wanting to check the playground out. Came back out around 03:45 p.m. and some event rep that was posted at the gate said sorry, but not open to the public until 5. Then acted weird when I pointed out the sign right in front of them that showed 0800 a.m. to 01:00 p.m. She made a call on her radio and then told us the sign was a misprint and we wouldn't be able to enter. Whole situation was dumb and upsetting for the kids as I carried them back to the car crying and asking why we couldn't play on the fun looking slide.
Whoever is coordinating the private groups at the playground please take the minimum effort to post the correct signage to keep situations like this from happening to families trying to utilize the...
