Food Lion — Local services in North Charleston

I was in the store tonight buying cereal, milk and cookies. The creal had a digital coupon of a dollar off i so I went to the kiosk to put my number in but it wasn’t working so I asked the manager on duty was it working she stated that it should but when she went over to check it wasn’t due to being out of paper and told me to let the cashier know to take the extra dollar off since the machine wasn’t working cool so I went to the register kind this is the only line that’s open since it close to closing time and explained what the manager said about the digital coupon however the cashier called over a rude unprofessional cashier lead (Desha) I guess and again I explained what I was told to do from the manager on duty she went on to saying o you got the app I said no she then replied well that’s the only way you can get the discount and I told her ma’am if you guys kiosk was working all I had to do was put my number in and told her that’s a issue on y’all part that the kiosk is out of paper not mines and she went on well ima do this favor for you this time but next time you need the app and again I explained to her you really doing a favor for your store because if the paper wasn’t out I’ll be able to put my number in so fix the machine and she would have to do this…. The girl is very rude she went on talking to the cashier about me while I’m standing in line with a whole line of people just flat out being rude “well anyways” her voice I really can’t believe someone this rude yall will have dealing with people I do understand this is a good Food Lion but it’s the workers that make a difference and having someone with that kind of attitude will never change how the store is viewed as a whole so I hope the right people see this and correct this before it really becomes a...

First let me say there is a really nice lady named Barbara that works as a cashier there. She is the only reason I will step foot in that store. Also the only reason I give the store any stars. She is one of the kindest most compassionate people you'll ever met in your life. Now for the bad, the store manager isn't absolute A -hole. I was in there shopping with my granddaughter only two lines were open one which had a lady buying four billion things paying for groceries with WIC which anyone who uses WIC knows it takes forever. there was about 30 people in the store trying to check out. The other register was run by the store manager. My granddaughter and I got up to the register and the store manager said I'm closed. I said you realize how many items the lady in the only line that's open has and how many people are trying to check out? He said too bad I'm going back to the service desk. I did not buy my groceries I walked out. The employees will even tell you he's a rude sob. the only time I will shop in that store is if my good friend Barbara's working there. Also make sure you check your date on their products because I find so many products that are more than a month out of date it's ridiculous. If u want to meet the store manager, just look for the fat bald guy in the white shirt. I'm sure he'll have some rude...

Awesome food store with awesome deals & buys! Love how every day has sales & great BOGO SALES! Justabout 99% of every item is on sale by themselves or & including BOGO SALES buy 1 or buy 2, get 1 free, every single day! Plus if member with sign-up, you can get printed sales coupons on top of the BOGO & already sales items, it's so awesome to buy & truly really save $$'s !! Store is very clean inside & every single employee are very curtious & super friendly, love cause it makes me feel very welcome over there :) The employees walk the floors & OR their stickers will ask if you need help finding anything or if you need help etc. They always smile, say hello or thank you for shopping with Foodlion, by that itself, makes shopping there enjoyable & also that they reconise you as a shopper & not ignore customers like Wal-Mart does. I'm 100% continuing my shopping at this location & any of their other locations. Doesn't matter which of any of their store you go to, they all treat you as a welcomed customer & money can't buy their great customer relationships to all their shoppers!
