This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. I placed a mobile order and waited in the mobile order pick up line for over 20 minutes before the car in front of me who was in park when I arrived, left. They gave us half of our food and then told us to find a parking space to wait so we did. We waited in the parking space for another 30 minutes before I walked up and asked for a refund because what we had gotten was now cold. They told me they could not do a refund if I had ordered through the app and that I needed to get a refund through the app I said OK that’s fine, But I’ve tried to do refunds through apps before and never could get one so I asked him to show me on my phone where I could go on the app to get my refund. The employee took my phone and dropped it onto the counter, and then the floor. The floor was filthy. he then went through the app for a minute and then gave the phone back to me and walked away without a word. When I asked him how I was supposed to get a refund if even he couldn’t figure it out, he said that he “didn’t look how to get me a refund” he “just went through my app.” Very nice. He then said he needed the food that I had gotten back to give me a refund. I said OK and gave him the food. He disappeared for another 15 minutes and then came back and said he couldn’t give me a refund and I said, can I at least get new food made, and he walked away without saying anything. I went onto the checkers website and called the customer service line there and I was told that they could help me in 3 to 5 business days. Completely unacceptable. I literally waited over 30 minutes at the mobile order pickup in total, they didn't come to the window there and completely ignored me. One of the employees was just doodling and talking to people in the drive thru and he came near the mobile pickup window so I know he saw me and intentionally ignored me. So I drove through the drive thru because that was the only window they were paying attention to and the same employee didn't listen to my concerns, was rude, and just told me to go back to the mobile pickup window. I did and they continued to ignore me, only paying attention to drive thru customers!! Because of this I had to cancel another Uber Eats order at another restaurant because the other restaurant closed. Absolutely ridiculous and have never experienced such disrespect and rude behavior at any other Checkers location. When I brought this up to the other worker there they just had some lame excuse of "we have to prioritize drive thru orders and there's a certain time prioritization." Let me be clear, they weren't just prioritizing drive thru orders, which I expect, they were COMPLETELY IGNORING delivery drivers. They saw me multiple times and did not once come to the window. I had a frustrating experience today at the Checkers location around 12:40 PM. I attempted to place my order at the speaker, but the associate’s computer started malfunctioning. This caused a significant delay, with the line backing up . I eventually pulled up to the window, only to find that my order hadn’t gone through due to the technical issue.
It took about 15–20 minutes just to get my order entered into the system. A manager or assistant manager had to come over and restart the computer. I repeated my order — a Chicken Bite Box with loaded fries and a large Hi-C. My total came out to be $7.02. After finally confirming the order, I was told to drive to the other side of the window to pick up my food.
While in the process to received my order. The associates discombobulated my order, I repeated my order once again. Due to agitation I left with only the Chicken Bite Box and the waters down high Hi-C.
By the time I got home (which is close to the restaurant), the food was already cold. The Orange Hi-C was watered down, and my bag didn’t include any napkins or a straw.
