I wanted to share my recent experience at Berk's with you. My son is attending HOCO this year, and we needed to buy him a suit. I called Berk's this past Saturday, 9/13, at 9:30 am to inquire if we needed to schedule an appointment for a fitting. The store was closed, so I left a message asking for a return call. By 10:30 am, I still had not received a call, so I decided to call again. This time, I was informed that no appointment was necessary and we could just come in.
When we arrived at the store, we were not acknowledged by any employees. My son and his girlfriend started looking around and found a jacket, and then we began browsing shirts and ties. Despite being in the store for approximately 15 minutes, not one employee offered to assist us. My son eventually suggested we leave and go somewhere else, which we did.
Despite my hesitations due to their online reviews, we decided to go to Men's Warehouse. To my surprise, they were fantastic! We ended up purchasing a tux, shirt, tie, and shoes there. This experience has convinced me not to return to Berk's, even though I have bought numerous suits for my husband from your store in the past.
I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve customer service...

You tell them what you are looking for and they always seem to find you the perfect piece or they try to order it for you . There is never any pressure to buy. They offer their expertise in suggestions when you tell them your style preference. The quality is impeccable and style of my husbands wardrobe never ceases to receive compliments when we are out!!
I always know I will find the perfect gift to add for birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries and " just because " occasions. Pieces are unique and you don't see everyone in them, as in shopping from a big box store.
Alteration/tailor services and dry cleaning are an added bonus as well.
They also have surprise sales and discounts throughout the year which is great!
Thank you Bruce for continuing your family tradition and providing our area a fabulous " go to" .

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe liked the tux and I would go back. The process was very smooth and efficient. We had a very nice guy when we were there to try on the tux. He even helped with pics! We had 3 different staff members wait on us. Bruce was definitely the nicest. I'd guess he is the owner, but that is just a guess! This was my son's first fitting for a tux and I specifically asked the first guy to help put him at ease...that did not happen. In fact, my son said he yanked the coat off him before he could get his arm out of the sleeve, which resulted in the sleeve being inside out AND a full blown sigh and eyeroll from the employee ( ah, right back at you bud). I gotta say I was disappointed for my son to deal with that attitude at his first fitting.
Everyone else was very professional. Even first guy was friendlier when Bruce was there...which is another reason I suspect he...
