Mediocre selection. Used to be a good store but it seems the owner has employed a lot of his buddies and any time I've been in there it is hard to get customer service due to the employees being huddled up to gossip about other stores or employees UNLESS you walk into with a backpack (to carry my cricket keeper as I take the bus and some drivers don't allow the container) then they won't leave you alone because they will accuse you of stealing. Used to come twice a week for feeders and spend hundreds a year on animals and enclosures prior to the seemingly recent change but now id rather do to 9th island where it is clean and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Also since I've changed feeders my reptiles health has improved as before I had a major die off from amoebosis probably due to the mites I found in the crickets I was getting from here. I asked about it and was told " every store has mites it is impossible to have reptiles without having mites" which I am not doubting is a true statement in their reality. If 9th island isn't an option then I'd much prefer to commute to reptiles and reefs in Henderson but I will be ordering online or even chancing Petco because at least there I can expect bare minimum knowledge and customer service without the hassle of egotistical entitlement/ misplaced accusations. The guy with the accent has always been pleasant in any event and I've never had an issue with him but when all the kids are running the store expect a lot of teeth sucking and eye rolling in between whispering and peeking around corners while also not being able...

I met the owner of Scales 'N Tails while researching whether or not I was ready to purchase a lizard pet for my son. He dedicated a significant amount of his time to discuss several species with me, the pros/cons of each, determine which best fit our lifestyle, and answered my lengthy list of questions. He was very thorough, very educated in all of the reptile species, and never made me feel rushed. I appreciate his time and attentiveness so much! I decided we weren't quite ready for a reptile to own, but in the process learned that they are also available for hire for special events. I hired them for my son's 3rd birthday party and it was THE best party ever. The reptiles that Thomas brought to the event were so cool and not your everyday reptiles. His presentation is informative, educational, and a lot of fun. It is hard to say who enjoyed the party the most- my toddler, his older cousins, the adults, or my 88-year old grandmother. It's been 3 months since the party and my son and his cousins still love to recreate their own "reptile show" and recite some of the cool facts Thomas shared during the presentation. If you have a child (or adult) that loves reptiles I highly recommend you hire Scales 'N Tails for your event, it was so much fun for all ages. I will definitely be hiring them again for...

I can't say enough good things about Scales 'N Tails North Las Vegas! This place has been my go-to spot for all my reptile and arachnid needs, and they never disappoint. Whether I'm picking up food for my boa constrictor, tarantula, or bearded dragon, the quality and variety of feeders are always top-notch.

The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Every time I visit, they go out of their way to ensure I have everything I need and answer any questions I might have. They have made many excellent suggestions for the best food for my pets, which has been invaluable.

The store is well-organized and clean, making it easy to find what I'm looking for. They have a great selection of supplies and accessories, which is perfect for keeping my pets happy and healthy. Plus, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you can tell the staff genuinely cares about the animals and their customers.
