My Garage Kitchen: A Breakfast Gem in North Las Vegas
Tucked away in a quiet corner of North Las Vegas, My Garage Kitchen exudes an endearing charm that speaks to its status as a beloved local haunt. During a recent visit, I had the pleasure of savoring their signature dish, the My Garage Lover breakfast. This dish, which undoubtedly exceeded my expectations, is a morning feast that is nothing less than exceptional, and a must-try for any breakfast enthusiast.
As the plate was placed before me, it overflowed with breakfast staples that promised comfort and satisfaction. The eggs were a bright, sunny yellow, cooked to perfection with a light, airy texture that practically melted in my mouth. The hashbrowns were a marvel—a delightful combination of a crisp, golden-brown exterior giving way to a tender, flavorful interior that made each bite a lovely crunch. Accompanying these were hearty, well-seasoned sausage links, their robust flavor creating a satisfying contrast to the lighter elements on the plate.
The pièce de résistance, however, was undoubtedly the pancakes. Towering and fluffy, they were a deep golden hue, their soft surfaces inviting a generous drizzle of syrup that glistened in the morning light. Each bite was a sweet embrace that captured the essence of a classic American breakfast, offering a comforting indulgence that felt like a warm hug on a plate. The toast, warm and perfectly crispy, featured a subtle crunch that elevated the meal, ideal for soaking up the remnants of the deliciousness surrounding it.
The atmosphere at My Garage Kitchen is equally engaging. The restaurant buzzes with energy, filled with the sounds of lively conversation and the delightful clatter of utensils, clearly indicating its popularity among locals. Despite the bustling crowd, the waitstaff moves purposefully, demonstrating an attentiveness that enhances the dining experience and makes patrons feel valued and part of a vibrant community.
This breakfast destination embraces you like an old friend, where generous portions and culinary finesse come together in an inviting, unpretentious setting. My Garage Kitchen has undoubtedly established itself as a beloved staple in North Las Vegas, offering a dining experience that nourishes the appetite...
Read moreMy son found this place and we decided to try it out, the food is really good and the prices are reasonable. But the other day we went back to eat here again cause we enjoyed our first visit, they weren't very busy maybe it was a Monday night, but the restaurant was so cold that we couldn't enjoy our dinner at all, i kept putting one hand under my leg to warm it up and switch hands to eat to allow the other hand to warm up. Next time we go there and it's that cold we are walking out and not even try to stay and eat, we also notice our waitress was mopping the restaurant while we were in there and wondering if she even washed her hands before delivering our food, and I hate how you pay here too, it's in a small device and the server stands there while you fill out the tip and sign for the bill and I wish they can just set it up and leave and come back after your done paying, it puts pressure on the customer while they are standing there and hovering waiting for you to finish, we will give this place one more chance and if not we will call this another North Las Vegas restaurant a no go again. Update, I was looking at some of the pictures that customers posted, the last time we were here I ordered the Steak Fajitas and asked the waitress if they had Guacamole and salsa for my Fajjtas, she said no. Well on some of the pictures I saw there were Green Salsa and Avacado, I would have been happy with slice Avacados than nothing at all and the green Salasa would have been nice with my $22.00 Fajitas that only came with 1 flour tortilla and rice and beans. And switching my 5 star to 3 stars for the waitress...
Read moreWe saw this was a new restaurant near us and wanted to give it a try. When walking in, everything looked nice. Not extravagant but nice, and seemingly well kept.
However.. we had to switch seats because our cups wouldn’t stop sliding on the table because of this large dip in the middle. We ended up ordering our drinks, and couldn’t really find anything worth trying on the menu. Nothing sounded interesting. When we did receive our drinks it was not what we expected.
I had a caramel cappuccino and really it was coffee with foam and tasted mostly black. My fiancé had a macchiato literally in a cup that seemed more fitted for a doll house for children. We were so confused, being this is not that kind of establishment. My toddlers orange juice tasted so sweet, you can tell it came from a jug and wasn’t real orange juice.
We paid a little over $15 for everything (it was all about $5 each). Our waitress did try to settle the bill on her own, even though I did let her know that it wasn’t necessary and we would still pay it. She insisted and said she would speak with her manager and from there it put more of a sour taste on the experience. He wouldn’t even bother coming over to speak to us and instantly shut her down. So she came back over, apologized and we paid. Leaving the drinks on the table as we left.
From my own experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
Poor choices on the menu, and poor service...
