Furniture & Mattresses — Local services in North Myrtle Beach

I hesitated posting because I like to support mom and pop operations but I'm at my wits end with frustration. I had planned on making future purchases here however I bought a couch in Sept, and within weeks of owning it the seat cushions broke down. Now after months of phone calls and complaining I finally got the cushions replaced . Okay the blame for some of the delay was covid I get it but I had to call constantly to get to get a status. I'm sure they were still making couches during that time. In a matter of weeks the new cushions are breaking down and lopsided. I have 2 couches going on 7 years old and their cushions don't do that, The owner Don was supposed to call the rep today and ....AGAIN..... I am waiting for him to call me back with an answer. I I called left my number and again no call back. This is a picture of my couch with the new cushions that are only a couple of weeks old. My husband sits in the middle of that cushion and that's what it does and doesn't pop back up. I feel as an owner he should be responsible to me and he should get compensation from the company. A couch should be made to sit on. I sent him the picture and this should be considered absolutely...

My wife and I are new to North Myrtle Beach, having moved here from New Hampshire.

We have been to numerous furniture and bed stores in both North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach looking for a simple queen headboard and frame.

We also hoped to find a double sided (flippable) mattress as a consequence of buying expensive but poor quality single sided mattresses for our last home. Most stores claimed no knowledge of double sided mattresses.

We immediately felt welcomed when we first entered this store.

We explained what we were looking for and David took us directly to a bed with double sided mattress that we found very comfortable. We made our purchase before we left the store. We asked for delayed delivery due to other activity at our home.

A week later, we decided we wanted to replace the bed frame on a bed in our guest bedroom. We stopped by to see David and asked about adding that to our order. Five minutes later, David had completed our purchase of the additional bed frame and added it to our delivery schedule.

David at Furniture and Mattresses will be our first stop for any future furniture...

My wife and I were looking for a really comfortable sleeper sofa for our CONDO at North Myrtle Beach, S.C. After looking at a number of furniture stores in North Myrtle as well as Myrtle Beach, we found just what we were looking for at Furniture and Mattress. Not only was our salesperson, Mr. David Gilmore incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, he was a delightful individual to get to know. He was not the least bit ""pushy" are overpowering. He allowed us to look at our own pace and be totally sure that the sofa we selected was just right for us. As an architect, and as the son of a man who was in the furniture business here in Sumter, SC all my life, I can assure you that you will not find a better furniture store or better people to do business with than Furniture and Mattress, Little River, SC. I will not look anywhere else whenever I need additional furnishings for my CONDO or my home here in Sumter, SC. I highly recommend both Mr. Gilmore and the owner, Mr. Barrow for any need you might have in the home...
