Bad business and even worse, treated my child and other children horribly. I registered and enrolled my daughter (at the time she was 2, almost 3) and the owner Roz recommended a specific class. Tiny 1 Creative Movement. A week before classes were to start, she sent out an email saying that the woman who was supposed to be the instructor for that class no longer works there and that we shouldn’t worry, there WILL be an instructor for that class. Fast forward to the first day of classes (first time for my daughter to attend a dance class there) and Roz ended up being the instructor. She didn’t introduce herself to the children or tell them any rules or what is to be expected of them. She also didn’t introduce the children to each other. So, of course, if you put 6-9 2 and 3 year olds in a room together they are going to want to talk to each other and play. My daughter was one of them. After 10 minutes of the 30 minute class, Roz told me that it’s time for my daughter to leave and it isn’t working out this week and that we can try again next week. Um... excuse me??!! I PAID for this class and you haven’t disciplined my child or told her what she is doing wrong. SHE IS A TODDLER... she needs direction. She was running around the class and laughing, but I was watching the entire time and never saw Roz tell her what she was doing wrong. I was so angry!! I took my daughter out of the class, had a talk with her, then we left. The next week I approached Roz and told her my feelings on what had happened during the first week and she told me to give it at least one full month of classes to see if she does any better and that if we still aren’t happy that she would give me a full refund. So we gave it a full month and I was still unhappy. I just received a check in the mail for $7. SEVEN DOLLARS. This is just ridiculous. Roz, why don’t you just come to my house and slap me in the face? First off, it was $62 for me to register and pay for the first month. NOT ONCE was I ever told that I would also be charged $25 for a very ugly leotard in a color my child hates and was told she HAD to wear to be in the class... even though many other children in the class weren’t wearing them. So, the breakdown on my “refund” says $30 registration fee is nonrefundable, then says $32 tuition, then $25 (unpaid) for leotard, and total refund is $7. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH THIS. Find a better dance studio that will back up their word, be kind citizens, discipline your child, TEACH THEM, and not be cowards. I will make sure and tell every parent I know to stay as far away from Synergy as they...
