I shop at the store pretty much every day I live in East Chicago and I love to store the employees and everyone is very great I’ve never had a problem until yesterday I go to the customer service desk to ring up and the lady seen that I had a bag of produce which was two avocados they were two for three dollars as soon as she seen the bag she said I can’t take you here because you have produce and I don’t have a scaleI informed her it did not need to be weighed and the avocados were two for three dollars she continued to refuse me and had a terrible attitude I was very upset with her attitude and do not appreciate it if she does not like her job she should go to work somewhere else or don’t work with the customer service at all white woman very heavyset and I will be telling everyone I know not to shop at the store anymore terrible service...

Ughhh what can u say its the only spot in east chicago to buy groceries that is not a corner store or Latin food store think a bougie Fairplay or Jewel which still equals expensive if you can make it to Walmart which is 6 to 8 miles in either North or South Direction you'll definitely make your penny stretch they are hot food is placed in styrofoam containers which who are we kidding who likes mashed potatoes mac and cheese or chicken tenders that taste like plastic and then insult to injury they wrap that styrofoam container up in plastic wrap you know so you can keep that lovely styrofoam flavor fresh. How I wish they would change their packaging cuz the food is actually pretty decent the store manager and the assistant manager are reasonable and try and work things out when in doubt find the store manager or the assistant I...

Prices have always been a little higher than other places, but when it's the same price to get the things from CVS it's ridiculous. The produce is never of good quality and $10 for a watermelon is crazy. I get things have gotten more expensive but they are taking advantage of the area. I've told them also that the fridge that holds the cottage cheese isn't working and it's been months never fixed. It was the first time that I didn't have to tell the bag person to separate the cold food from the hot. That was a pleasant surprise. The guys are very helpful when you ask them to help with the 5 gallon waters. It would be nice to know what time the deli opens and closes. A few times I've gone and they are closed or the person says they are about to and can't get...
