So, it's the last Sunday in september! A beautiful day, in the 60s early in the morning almost 80 this afternoon. The sun is bright and a nice breeze to keep the asphalt cool. I found several deals today! And there were many more to be had, but you know I just can't have everything. One of the things that I bought was a Disney brand denim lined jacket, four pocket design, original Disney tags with Eeyore embroidered on the back and on the left front pocket. Size was extra large, very nice! I also latched onto two Star wars 1000 piece puzzle sets, factory wraps in a tin for a really good price! Also included was a limited edition Star wars cab that was certified. Also had were two leather baseball gloves in near mint condition one right hand and one left hand.I also came across four boxes of sanyo floppy disk what's really can't be used anymore at least not by me but as a reseller they are small gold mine. A couple of Field and stream fishing shirts and excellent condition one was camo one was beige. And finally, a box of remote controls, 50 in the lot 46 of them had the backs and I'm sure that they would be working. So what did I pay is the question mark? Well I'm not going to tell you what I paid for each item but the total dollar amount was $18! So, was so accomplished I found online across all the platforms I should be able to make about $500 with these. Not bad for about an hour's worth of work at the market. I love Rossi's pop up because you were able to bargain with people there, it's not like going to some of the other ones where top dollar is all that people will accept. Thank you Ross's, I really enjoy going to your place and the food there is the greatest! I'm never...
Read moreScrappy place where junk is sold. Former cinemaplex, now converted into a retail vending space. As of 2025, many of the screening rooms have been demolished and removed, and converted into a brand new clean series of rent-able stall or booths. However, on a recent visit on a Saturday in peak holiday shopping season, revealed that several of the stalls were closed or locked up with a gate. One of the vendors was standing outside his booth and hawking his services for a credit loan service, and has I was walking on the hallway, was offered a hand to shake and a "hello" greeting. Upon choosing not to hand shake, not being rude but more for hygiene reasons, the gentleman said "WHAT??? NO HANDSHAKE?", in somewhat of a harassing tone. Rossi's, if you are reading this, you know who that person is, and you should enforce the salespeople behavior rules that such hawking behavior is not allowed. Overall, felt that this visit was a waste of time, with overall quality of items somewhat low. The best experience was with Nancy's, who has been there for years and has an entire screening room available. She is very nice and easy to get items at low price. Another great experience is Whatsmacallit, a hoarder's paradise that is a monument and should be a tourist destination. Yes, it's a fire hazard, and I fear it will be cleared soon, but it's so unique I...
Read moreI've been here multiple times over the years. About 20, and only about 2 of those trips I've walked out with something.
The indoor section is a mess. Vendors just trow their junk around wherever. And I do mean that very literally. Inside Vendors sell mostly junk and it's very crowded. The Vendor at the end of the Right hall has just an absurd number of books, but they're presented in a way that makes it impossible to look through them all. 20-60 stacks with about 30-40 books in each.
Another one that's in one of the theaters, has so much junk it's almost impossible for a skinny person to walk through normally. If you're bigger or carrying something, you're forced to do a sideways shuffle in order to prevent knocking junk over. Even then you're hitting stuff. I'm not lying when saying some of the indoor Vendors set ups don't look like they're trying to sell stuff. It just looks like a bunch of hoarders living in a old Movie Theater and calling it a Flea Market.
Another thing is that the Indoor Vendors don't change, nor does what they're selling. Every time I come, I see the same person, in the same spot, with the exact same items. Some of them are pretty much always closed when I'm...
