Mr Walker, the owner, has been nice the times I have been there but his wife... rude, displays disgust in having to deal with you, when she's chatting with acquaintances/ friends and you walk in, she just googled you up and down and says "yes", another time "can I help you" as we just figured to let her finish her conversation and walked over to the rodents they have in the small cages. She has the self righteousness to argue that after having waited well over the time we were assured it would take to receive a ferret that WE should have asked about restocking fees when we finally gave up waiting and getting spoken to like we were some street bums when calling to ask how much longer we'd be waiting, and asked for our money back and they kept over $50 "restocking fee" for something that never yet had departed anywhere and we had waited waay longer than quoted. The time frame changed drastically after we paid. Not to mention I had also lost money on a wish order I was notified to pick up but she couldn't find. The store is not kept clean- when we were initially told we would have to feed the ferret Marshall brand food if we wanted it to have a 12 month health guarantee, I remember thinking " I hope we won't have to exclusively buy it here" looking at the dusty, dirty shelving and pet food packaging. Go towards the middle of the front section and look at the display of "natural soaps" hanging... Oh, my God- those soaps are covered in a disgusting layer of dust and whatnot, dust bunnies keeping those filthy soaps one would hope no one would have the nerve to sell, let alone display, company. I call it an audacity to make me responsible for not inquiring, as she claims I am, about restocking fees for things that just failed to arrive and pocket that money. No notice on the receipt or anything, though, when she was given $260- something, not a word about it after the time frame changed significantly from what we were told in the beginning in order for us to get hooked on the bait. I'm sorry, Mr Walker as the kids bus driver, was one person my children liked so very much, which drove me to rather renting a trailer to tow a vehicle the day we went in and then also paid for the ferret elsewhere, but this was absolutely unfair and the woman ought to treat customers better. Way better. Better behavior is expected from teenagers at McDonald's or bagging groceries all day and I don't think I've EVER been treated like that anywhere. I bet it had to do with what she knew about me, having once stayed at the shelter down the road and having had to rent a u-haul then and that's inexcusable! Purchased a scooter from them. It took over 2 weeks to get the scooter from him after getting the run around on it and when I had finally got in contact with Neil he had lost the keys to the scooter! Then when I finally got it one key was bent and the ignition had scratches all over it. Terrible business would not recommend them for anything worst service of my life!! Not to mention how rude the woman I talked to at the store was when I would call to ask about the scooter. And I don't know if it's just how they do service but it seemed like everyone I talked to up there was very rude and unprofessional! I can not stress this enough (worst service I've ever received)! The store was gross full of dust and grime and mold the rats were running around eating the bird food mind yoy I drove 45 minutes to get some mice for my snake and the cats were right behind the rats also I bought 2 mice to breed and one’s tails all sorts of messed up the prices were ridiculous $15 for a plastic ship that is also at Walmart for like $5-$10 the store made me sneeze and cough profusely and the customer service sucked I waited 30+ minutes for a staff member to finish the customer in front of me then when it was my turn he went in the back for 10 minutes or so would not recommend...
