I've been driving by this place for years and it's always peaked my interest. Finally stopped in today to grab some fried chicken and I was not disappointed!

I grew up in the south where fried chicken is a way of life, and everyone knows the best fried chicken is usually served at a gas station off the highway in the middle of nowhere.

There's been recent trend of high-end southern/soul food restaurants like Jacob's Pickles and Greer's Southern table becoming popular, which honestly pisses me off. They're a poor interpretation of southern food and the prices are outrageous for a cuisine that is supposed to be delicious and accessible for all members of society.
