Spacecat Brewing Co. Taproom & Beer Garden — Restaurant in Norwalk

On our way home, we stopped by Spacecat Brewing Co,. which was located in an old industrial mill building. This brewery had chill/cool vibes - upbeat music in the background, food truck outdoors, and dogs welcomed inside. James was friendly and helpful. I tried both of their Cosmic Candy fruited goses but decided to get a non-beer option: Apple Pie, which consisted of fresh blend cider and Sono 1420 Blaze Cinnamon Whiskey. If you were in the mood for food, there was a QR code on the table, you could order from. There was a Me'stezo food truck. My boyfriend and I shared the Brisket Quesadilla and Brisket, Chicken, and Tuna Tacos. The Brisket quesadilla consisted of flour tortilla filled with flavorful brisket and cheddar-jack cheese blend and served with sour cream and non-spicy salsa. The Brisket consisted of a flour tortilla loaded with smoked brisket, mango, papaya, and chipotle vinaigrette. The Jerk Chicken consisted of a flour tortilla loaded with tender chicken breasts with a chimichurri sauce. It was herbalicious! The Tuna Taco consisted of a flour tortilla filled with seared yellowfin tuna, mango, papaya, and a tangy sesame dressing. I stopped into the brewery to see friends who I haven't seen in a while and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the drinks were great! Unfortunately halfway through our visit, we were told that there was a private event happening in the public space and we would have to move to the private event area. So we ordered our last drinks and moved over to the private event area, and unfortunately they had fewer chairs than they had patrons.

I am recovering from an ankle injury and the fact that the crew I was with originally had a table and chairs in the public space, I ultimately decided to share some feedback with management.

They were great, not only did they try to comp my last drink but they also listened to our feedback and brought out chairs for us. We chose Spacecat for our wedding after-party (as our wedding was a destination event), and we couldn’t have made a better choice! We rented the entire venue for our private gathering of around 100 guests.

James was a pleasure to work with, and Michele was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She kept me calm, managed all my unique requests, and even assisted with setup and breakdown. On the day of the event, the entire staff was fun and professional, ensuring our guests had a great time.

They seamlessly accommodated Oishi rolling sushi for us, the New Haven Pizza Truck serving delicious pies, and the James Zap Band (3-piece) playing our favorite tunes.

Our party made fun use of the courtyard's cornhole, ring toss, and firepit. We even brought a s'mores station to add some treats.
