RoseGarden Ice Arena — Local services in Norwich

This place was great! Went for something different for one of my nieces' birthday parties and it was a blast! From her 4 year old brother that was being pushed around on a seal which was an aid to help kids skate to the Dad and Uncle of the party girl. Not certain how many more went on, but it was open skate and the rink is a full sized rink. Even the most skiddish child was passibly skating by the time the hockey team took over a couple of hours later. A hockey team was running late when we came in so we lost some time. Better bundle up. It's cold. Most wore layers with sweatshirts, long pants and mittens....Definitely mittens or gloves. Remember ice. It was pretty easy to get to off the 395. You would have to call for hours. They have skate rentals but I didn't check the price because of a bad knee, but i wanted to go out there. Plenty of handicap parking up front by the doors. Staff was very polite. We had a party in a small room and it was just perfect. If you want to take your kids to relive your younger days. This is a good place. People on the ice are courteous and old or young some are just hanging on to the walls. We...

5 Stars for DOUG ROBERTS!!! He runs amazing clinics, camps and is wonderful to have at the rink. ALL the families love to work with him! Families feel comfortable that their child is getting a quality hockey training with him. He provides a wonderful base for us hockey families. Doug's love for the game is seen in his smile as he teaches this game he loves to other people. His family is a true hockey family, that is a true gem that we are so lucky to have at Norwich Ice Arena! Doug, you are my son's superhero hockey Coach, so many kids look up to you and come to norwich...

It's a great rink... Ice is always as scheduled and no holes from the figure skaters -no offense meant :) .. I am only giving 3 stars because there is no pro shop anymore (just an empty room so I'm guessing they used to have one!?) and can't get hockey tape or skates sharpened if you needed.... So that part stinks. Other than that it's clean and stuff .. parents / loved ones can watch the games from the heated area -- which has hit food on weekends! Hope...
