Schofield Bowling Center — Local services in Oʻahu

We celebrated our daughters birthday party here. I gave it 5 stars because everyone had a great time. I was disappointed that they put us right in the middle instead of at either end for privacy. They provided two tables but it was so tight we couldn't take adequate pictures. There was another event going on so the staff was so busy they either couldn't or forgot to put music. The managers didn't communicate because once we got there the one working wasn't aware of what we asked for beforehand and was approved by the other manager. Like i mentioned above everyone had a great time but the behind the scene events was a disaster. They should have someone who is in charge of parties so we can go directly to them with any questions or concerns and help us make a kids birthday party as magical as they have been dreaming of it for the whole year. Also, managers need to have scheduled office time, it was difficult to get ahold of them over the phone. Would I have another party there, probably not unless my daughter's specifically ask to...

I’ve come here a few times both with my family for fun and with coworkers as a team building experience.

This place is very reasonably priced. For active duty military, they have a lunch special where its like $2 or something for a couple games and shoes or something like that. Even for DoD civilians, its still a great price compared to off post (and likely less crowded).

The shoes here are clean and newer looking which I appreciate. The lanes here are nice and clean. The balls are decent, but finding the lighter sizes can be a little difficult at times. They offer children balls here and have the bumpers and ramps for them as well.

The best part of this place is the food. Its your regular alley food like pizza, wings, burgers, and fries—but SUPER cheap! My family and I love coming here to get some food and play a couple of games for cheaper than the price of movie tickets alone.

As an Active Duty family, we took the kids to bowl on a Tuesday night. We had to wait for lanes because they open the bowling alley to locals. I understand that the bowling alley doesn’t check IDs and at the gate here, only one person has to have an ID to get on base. So if a civilian employee or contractor wants to bring an entire car load of people (which they do), then they can without any issues. There were literally at least 150 locals. The lady at the counter said we can’t bowl 6 people at a lane even though 4 of them are small kids, but she could split us between two lanes that were really far apart. That kind of defeats the purpose of a family night. And there were no balls left that were small enough for the kids, so I guess we’re supposed to just buy and bring our own ball if we want the...
