An Excellent Addition to the Food Court
I don’t usually expect to be impressed by food court restaurants, but Omi’s Eataly completely shattered my expectations in the best way! They’ve only just opened, but if they keep this up, they’re going to stand out fast.
I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta and was genuinely surprised by how good it was. The sauce was rich and creamy without being too heavy, it had fresh herbs, juicy cherry tomatoes, meaty mushrooms, and a half lemon served right in the bowl, a perfect touch! The shrimp were plump, well-cooked, and generously portioned! The dish was topped with both parmesan crumble and freshly shredded mozzarella.
It came with a slice of fresh warm garlic basil bread that was super soft and packed with real herb flavor lightly toasted. Even the house-made citrus refresher was memorable — lightly sweet with mint and a cherry garnish. It tied the whole meal together.
I will say, the wait was around 10–15 minutes, but I was totally okay with that and I hope others are too. This isn’t fast food, and it shouldn’t be treated like it is. Honestly, I’d much rather wait a few extra minutes for a dish this well made than get something rushed and forgettable.
For the price, this was an incredibly satisfying meal, especially for Hawaii. Between the portion, the ingredients, and the care in execution, it’s a steal.
Omi’s is the kind of spot you want to see succeed. They’re raising the bar for food court dining, and honestly, for casual pasta in general. I’m already planning to go back to try their cacio e pepe next. If you're a fan of good food, it’s worth the wait — give...
Read moreFirst I’d like to say that this is a great addition to the food court. I love the ambiance it’s very inviting. This was my husband and I first time trying it out. The menu is very selective but great choices. Unfortunately when we went they were out of chicken 🥺 I love Italian food and I have to say the food was pretty tasty compared to other local Italian places tho my husband and I think it could be tweaked for more tastier, quality food.
For the owner: the bread was dry, hard and cold. We bought the loaf with the cheese not realizing that the pasta already came with a side of bread. Peach palmer could taste more like tea than lemonade although the fresh peaches was a great touch! Creamy Tuscanny with Italian sausage was great! Only downfall was the noodles were over cooked and the sauce was very watery. It was like eating a pasta soup. Pesto Shrimp Scampi was delicious the flavors were great! However I was looking for the pesto. It had no pesto just a lot of lemon. My shrimp was under cooked and I’d prefer them without the tails. Sauce could be thicker as well. We are also hoping you add more condiments like crushed red peppers, hot sauce, and the Parmesan cheese should be available for customers.
The staff there is great, wait time is a little long but again it was lunch time and I wasn’t the only one waiting. My husband and I will...
Read moreSolid Italian food. It is affordable and convenient, and though it isn’t the very best Italian food I’ve ever had, it’s very tasty. We will definitely be back to try the expanded menu.
In case the owner reads this review, the garlic bread was cold and a tad bit dry. The shrimp scampi pasta was a tad bit overcooked, but not enough to ruin the dish. Finally, I don’t really enjoy having the tails on the shrimp when I’m eating pasta. Just some pointers if you want the feedback. The shrimp scampi sauce was...
