Enchanted Playroom — Local services in O’Fallon

We decided to take our son here on Saturday for open play. According to the website, customers are advised to check the Facebook page prior to coming to ensure that the playroom is open. We did that, and there was nothing to indicate that there would be any issue with coming here. It was apparent that they post on Facebook when the playroom is full.

We told our son that we were taking him to go play, and he was very excited. When we got there, the playroom looked very clean, safe, and well-suited for children. Unfortunately, they failed to update their Facebook page to indicate that they were at capacity, and we were turned away at the door. My son was devastated. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, so I checked their Facebook page multiple times after we left to see if perhaps we just had bad timing and came right as they got to capacity and before they updated the Facebook page; they never updated it. We made an hour round trip to take our kid here just to be turned away.

I recognize the struggles of running a small business and understand that it is difficult to ensure everything runs smoothly. I also greatly appreciate the fact that this business has a maximum capacity to ensure that the children are safe and that every child has the best possible experience. However, if you choose to run a business like this, you should also have the mechanisms in place to ensure that you do not mislead customers into coming and then turn them away, especially for the children.

We were excited to come here, and so was our child. When you update your system to ensure that issues like this do not occur, please let me know - you will get my business and I will take down...

I cannot say enough good things about Enchanted Playroom - it’s simply THE BEST!!! I take my almost 2 yr old grandaughter weekly and here is why I am in love with this place….. Jennifer, the owner has thought of EVERYTHING!! There are soo many toys and props perfect for imaginative play and she is always adding more and rearranging here and there making the place wonderful and well organized. Some of the play areas include a diner, grocery store, kitchen and bbq grill, farm animals, construction area , a house with even a mailbox, beauty/ barber shop chair, pizza, ice cream and drink machine, babydolls with every gear and accessory you could ever need, 3 various sizes of slides, a gazillion ride on toys to name a few. Then there is also 2 other rooms, one for parties and one for if you feel your child is over stimulated you can go in there and the room is filled with all kinds of activities and comfy chair ! The playroom is arranged so that parents can hang out at all of the tables and still clearly see your child. There is also 4 small couches throughout and I’m always going from one or the other kinda staying back and letting her play. Every wall is painted with adorable forest animals and the 2 bathrooms are nice and spacious and have clean changing tables. There’s even snacks and all are only 1$. And you get a free cup of coffee too! If you want something to do with your young toddlers or kids- look no further- It is a relief to have found a fun but very SAFE place for us to hang out and explore without chasing and worrying about losing your child. We love this place! I've taken my two young children here a number of times to play and they always love it. Today, we hosted our daughter's 1st birthday here and it was fantastic! I've had my kids' parties at various places in the area and this was by far the best place to work with. The owner emailed and called me a week before the party to go over everything and asked if I had questions (with other places, I always have to call or email and it takes them a while to respond). The party room was decorated beautifully with fun murals that the kids enjoyed. They had everything set up and I didn't have to worry about my own decorations. The party flowed so well and was the perfect size for our family, friends, and their kids to play and interact. The staff was super accommodating, kind, and punctual.
