âIllegal dumping,â yet they kept over 90% of the items that were already marked at the store at outrageous prices. Some items that they considered junk and littering were already sold. The staff could have handled it better than to call the cops TWICE once we went to pick up the items. I think the police have more important things to do than to arrest someone for donating items. The police laughed in their face and even referred to them as a-holes so that tells you who is in the wrong. The whole staff is corrupt and thought they were going to make some money by pressing charges. Not to mention, when we picked up all of the items they were not being compliant and even yelled and caused a scene. The staff needs to take some anger management classes. How are you going to call the cops for âillegal dumping,â yet most items were already for sale in the store. The staff needs to be investigated for FRAUD. They should be charged for calling the cops twice on a non emergency situation. Disgusting people. And...
Read morethe people that work at this thrift store are very weird. they sit in the back doing absolutely nothing and do not help customers out. if they do, they have an attitude and it seems like they do not want to be there. the store is located in a very sketchy part of the neighborhood with homeless people shooting up five feet away. whidbey has other thrift stores that are more affordable and wonât make you feel unsafe. if you research waif, it is not a no kill shelter and they keep their animals in small, dirty cages with adoption fees that are astronomical. if your pet is lost and they find it, they will charge you to adopt them back. these people that run this place truly do not care about their animals or their customers and are just trying to make a quick buck. do not go here, there are better thrift stores with good caring customer service less than...
Read moreOne of the more expensive thrift stores for the quality. Most of the staff are very nice, some above and beyond pleasant. The location is generally clean. The biggest flaw is the pricing, and it's a big one for a thrift store, especially a charity thrift store. I would happily donate more when asked at the register if prices overall were more in line with what they are at the Freeland WAIF thrift store, or the other thrift stores on this island. With that said, if you catch the right sales, there are still some treasures that can be found and you can also feel good knowing that you're ultimately helping...
