Alder Lodge — Local services in Oakhurst

The cabin/chalet was set in the beautiful woods on a hill. They had everything there we could possibly need. They guys and my 11 year old son enjoyed the pool table and the girls enjoyed the hot jacuzzi after a chilly day hiking. We used the grill for steaks and the kitchen had spices, coffee that we used. The beds we're clean and comfortable. There were air mattresses in the closet with lots of pillows and blankets. There was also shampoo, soap and conditioner in the bathrooms. They also had laundry detergent. The new dryer was terrible. It took forever to dry our clothes but I don't know if it was just that brand or the vent needed to be cleaned. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because the kitchen cabinets looked like they hadn't been cleaned for years. The kitchen floor was dirty and sticky. Whoever they are paying to clean the place needs to step it up. It definitely wouldn't keep me from going back though. It is a very short drive to all the trails and you don't have to wait to get in.
