Yosemite Visitor Center — Local services in Oakhurst

I spent about 30 minutes at self guided tour of an Indian Village of Ahwahnee near the Visitor Center. I was the only one there, believe or not. I have been to Yosemite over a dozen time for the last 30 years, but this was the first time I noticed this self guide tour about the native people who have lived in Yosemite for over 4000+ years! Great info center, really helpful folks. But for thousands of visitors a day, 3 rangers helping give info is all. So be patient, they are nice, but the lines take 15-45 minutes to get basic info. Do your research in advance and save...

11월 7일 요세미티 국립공원을 방문하였다. 이날의 가장 바랬던 방문지가 Glacier Point인데 전날 온 눈으로 길을 막아서 갈수가 없어 다음을 기약해야했다. 다음날은 Yosemite Valley를 한번 더 보고 Tioga Pass를 지나 MonoLake, Convict Lake을 보고 Bishop에서 숙박할 예정인데 이 바램도 Tioga Pass가 temporary Close되어 큰 실망을 하고 혹시나 하는 희망으로 Welcome Center를 방문하였다.마침 만난 직원분이 몇년간 서울 강남에서 학생들에게 영어를 가르치셨던 분이어서 한국어로 즐겁게 이야기를 나누었다. 물론 길이 다시 열릴지는 날씨에 달려있다는 답이지만 생각지도 않게 친절한 직원분과 즐겁게 이야기를 나눈 좋은 만남이었다. 그분이 우리를 한국사람임을 알아본것이 한복을 입고 있어서였기때문에 한복입고...
