had a lovely consultation about a year ago and ended up buying two pairs. sales people did not pressure me at all and felt like the whole process was very collaborative. they worked with me to find something that i loved and looked good with my face and my personal style. very honest and forthcoming about what worked and what didnt, ive had plenty of personal sales experiences where the sales person just says yes to everything i say even if i dont know what i want, but that certainly was not the case here. staff is incredibly knowledgable about stock and the designers that they carry. whenever i felt uncertain they slowed everything down and gave me relevant and helpful information that allowed us to move forward with confidence. when it was time to pick up the glasses we did an in depth fitting. i have a really small face so usually glasses tend to slip and slide all over, but these glasses ended up fitting super super well and everyone was really patient and emphasized that we could take as long as we wanted to achieve the perfect fit. great experience and will definitely be coming back here to get my next pair! felt like i was among friends in a relaxed and creative environment :) you definitely get what you pay for, which today in the bay area...

My partner went to Aperture Optix and stayed for two hours. This is unheard of in my mind. There can’t be that many options to choose from. Boy was I wrong. I went to get a pair of reading glasses. They brought out so many unique and well crafted frames. They were super helpful willing to pop lenses out so I could try them for my needs. I ended up buying two pairs of sun glasses and one pair of readers. I couldn’t say no because they all looked so good.

You walk in and are immediately greeted and offered tea, water, or sparkling water. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, not like a typical glasses shop. You sit at a large table with a mirror. I was open to any style they recommended trying and would decide among them. I found three pairs that were so beautiful. I couldn’t resist. When I picked them up I deeply appreciated the attention to detail and making necessary adjustments to ensure they were perfect.

The quality and workmanship of the glasses are superior. The customer service is A1. I would definitely recommend them and would come back in the future for...

I bought a new pair of glasses at Aperture Optix after my long-suffering frames were damaged in a bike accident. I had been wearing broken frames for several months, as numerous visits to the usual suspects of eyeglass shops left me unenthused. All the frames looked exactly the same, dull, and felt way overpriced for what you were getting.

That all changed at Aperture Optix. Everything about the process was excellent. They have a genuinely unique and hand-curated selection. And a wonderful process where you are guided by genuine experts to help find the right frames for your face. I recommend taking the approach I did and letting them know you are open to all frames and shapes, that I was not necessarily looking for something similar to my past frame. That will give you the best experience as you will get to see yourself in frames you wouldn't instinctively grab and it helps break the bias for the frame shape you have become habituated to by staring at it in the mirror for the past X years.
