
A fairly straightforward BART station, with one consequential twist which might cause some challenges to folks with disabilities. Outside of the paid area, there is a walkway, which crosses over College Avenue leading to an exit/entrance to one of the station's parking lot. Unfortunately, the walkway's exit/entrance is a stairway, thus there is no easy access to folks with mobility issues; one has to cross College for access to the station (Compounding this challenge, an additional short stairway connects the walkway to the station.) Read moreThis elevated BART stop puts you right in the middle of the Rockridge retail and restaurant area. It’s also close to a Trader Joe, Market Hall and Claremont Middle School. There are parking lots on under the station but a substantial number of lots are by permit parking only. What’s left of the parking fills up quickly on weekday mornings. There are also bus lines, care and bike sharing below the station. This station is generally safe and clean(er). Good views from the platform.
