Ordered the Chicken tenders for my son, athena salad, Florentine crepe, triberry crepe, and fettuccine Alfredo.. I couldn’t stomach the fettuccine and the triberry crepe was WAYYYYY too sweet. Ordered it with ice cream and whipped cream (ordered in to eat at home) and as I was getting into the car I noticed immediately that the ice cream which was on top of everything in a separate cup- was already melted. They also taped all boxes so everything was soggy including the fries that came with my sons chicken tenders. I’ve asked my husband to never let me throw that much money away ever again. I used to love this place back in the day but maybe it’s being almost thirty and eating better food since those days that is making me rethink ever ordering from here again.
EDIT SINCE I CANT RESPOND TO THE COMMENT MADE BY THE RESTAURANT
Let me be clear, my son fell asleep in the car on the way over so I walked in and ordered and did not leave until my food was ready. I waited out on the sidewalk and told them where I would wait and they said it would be 15 minutes. I waited and walked over when I saw the second larger bag that I guessed was mine. It was. When I looked down the ice cream was melted and when I walked the 15ish feet to the curb to my car I further inspected and confirmed- it was indeed melted. I then checked the rest of the order while still in the car and my husband drove. The fries were soggy. It was fresh, you guys just taped all the boxes and the condensation made everything soggy. Also noteworthy, the garlic bread was cold and rubbery out of its little paper bag. I didn’t wait till I got home or much longer after leaving to take a bite. If I weren’t starving I would have asked my husband to turn around and asked for a refund. ALSO NOTEWORTHY this WAS the second recent chance. I loved this place when I would come by at 18-19y/o at this specific location and throughout the years in SF there after but these past two visits is what has warranted my review. There has been a significant change somewhere and I believe it to be that I don’t eat fast food/junk food anymore at 30. I just wanted to be clear to all the readers. Hopefully they’ll have a better experience but here is my...
Read moreI went to Crepevine on Mother's day with my teenage daughter. We were found nice seating on the patio and we were surrounded by plants and greenery, nice mood lighting, perfect for a mild sunny day. But that is where the good ends. We ordered at the counter. I ordered a grilled chicken breast sandwhich for my daughter, which comes with fries and salad. I ordered an eggs Benedict, which is not on the menu. They do have eggs Blackstone with ham and spinach, so I asked them to remove the spinach and ham, sub bacon, extra crispy. They brought out our food, and my stomach literally lunched. My eggs Benedict was a heaping mound of fatty ham, and barely cooked bacon. The English muffin was a sopping mess saturated with grease. The home fries that came with it were undercooked and hard. I sent the plate back, thinking they would make a entirely new meal, but nope, they just removed the ham and crisped up the bacon. My food was not edible. My daughters sandwhich was not grilled chicken breast, but a square shaped processed slab. The Ceasars salad had little to no watery dressing. The fries were the only good thing from her plate. We also ordered a sweet crepe for dessert. It looked good, but turned out to be another dissapointment. The fruit was not ripe, the crepe itself tasted like parchment paper, cold, hard and flavorless. The whipped cream was on the verge of being spoiled, but i guess the vanilla ice cream was okay. The few bites we did eat of our food left us with upset stomachs. I will NEVER, EVER eat there again, and im so mad I spent $70 on that meal. If you like large portions of over priced, barely edible food, then you will like this place. The best thing about the place is nice...
Read moreI’ve ordered here a few times now each always being a different consistency of quantity. Each time just palatable enough, but never Quite matching the first time I ordered it. Yesterday I reached out to the restaurant at this location, because the order I placed was missing a food item. I reached out to the email provided by this restaurant’s website, where I was told that this restaurant doesn’t use uber eats.
Just yesterday you were able to find a contact email at the bottom of the website, which now seems to have been removed. This was a place I was recommending to people, now I have to back track to let them know I have to change my stance. It’s a true shame that those in charge of this place doesn’t seem to know where things are being offered, and that the service given is dismissive.
I’m not sure how far management is out of the more detailed processes, but it would seem that those in charge should re-familiarize themselves with the workings and offers of the restaurant. If by chance these email responses I’ve received aren’t from anyone in charge of this restaurant, that is even more egregious it was listed on the website but has since seemed to be removed. I hope the service and food preparation process can get in order here, so consistent food of decent quality can be made, and friendly service given during...
