Update again- August 2025. It’s gotten worse. Manager and two employees standing in print area- watching videos on their phones while one young kid is dealing with two lines of 5 people each- one for Amazon returns, the other for the register. Manager then comes over to do NOTHING but tell the kid he needs to tape up full boxes. This place is so poorly managed it’s no wonder it’s likely closing.
Update- posted this a couple of months ago, they responded. It’s actually gotten WORSE. Who are they hiring to work the shipping counter? Every. Single. Person. Who works that counter has no idea how to talk to a customer. Horrid customer service in the shipping area. It’s as if a customer at the counter is an interruption. In this day, who grabs a customer’s phone out of their hand??? Would have otherwise shopped, but not after this.
Update- appreciate the response but clearly nothing has been done. Had to go back again- it’s like helping a customer is an inconvenience. I had a number of items to pick up, and was somewhat concerned that my coupon would work, because my totals were well over $ 100. A very knowledgeable sales rep named Mark, totalled up all items, and not only did my coupon help reduce my large expense, but Mark realized that as a Staples Rewards Member and also Staples Account Card carrying holder, I was entitled to some other discounts.
