Just went there today with my child second week of their farmers market in West Oakland I must say it was the most expensive Farmers market I've ever been to didn't have a very wide selection I know that this is their second week and I hope they get it together they wouldn't take EBT they would take cash and from time to time some of the sellers to credit cards but in general their price point was at least two to three times higher than any other Farmers market I've ever been to and it's in West Oakland a low income area which is kind of sad I bought some mac and cheese which I'll upload photos 2 ounces for $7 I laughed until slob came out of my mouth the person selling it to me eventually started laughing too but I love my people so I patronize at least once
Thanks for reaching out with the new information but most of the time I go to the farmers market to get fruit and unfortunately it was 3 dollars higher per pound then even at a grocery store I'm used to paying anywhere else and like I stated earlier when you bring a farmer's market to a low-income neighborhood and the price doesn't reflect the cost of living it puts itself in a situation where it's not helpful just there it's tough all the way around for all of us but I do appreciate you reaching out with the information about the terminal for the EBT unfortunately the cost has to go down as well...
Read moreThe West Oakland Farmers Market is my Sunday go to! It’s conveniently placed next to and organized by the Prescott Market’s owner, Harvey.
This Farmers Market is slightly tucked away from major roads which makes it a great location to walk to with your whole family. Despite only being 1 block long, you’ll find all sorts of vendors here. From classic seasonal produce, Asian produce, apple cider, new product start ups, bakeries, florists, and even Diamond Dog Bakery (a bakery just for pets!).
Whenever I’m here I always grab a coffee and some tamales to start. $5 per tamale and they’re huge and have plenty of filling. For coffee, you could even wander into the Prescott Market, or you can visit one of the several coffee vendors. Everyone has great deals as well!
A few weeks ago, there was a live jazz band which I adored. Today, they had a group playing music inside the Prescott Market patio instead. It still radiated throughout the whole block and brought the vibes...

I've tried a bunch of new kinds of vegetables from the delicious and versatile water spinach to chinese red dates, or jujubes. Great snacks, and live music...
