I want to start by saying that this establishment seems like a great fit for many people, and my experience may be an exception rather than the norm. I chose this place based on its many positive reviews and scheduled a 90-minute deep tissue massage, as I require a significant amount of pressure.
Unfortunately, I found myself disappointed throughout the session. I respectfully requested more pressure multiple times as the therapist worked through different areas, but despite acknowledging my request, the pressure didn’t noticeably change. I even joked that maybe my body was just different from what she was used to. I fully recognize that not all massage therapists may be able to provide the level of pressure some clients need, and I don’t fault anyone for that. However, it left me wondering—what is the best course of action in that situation? Should the therapist acknowledge that the session may not be the right fit and offer an alternative, or does the client simply endure the session, feeling obligated to stay and pay in full?
I ultimately chose to remain for the full session, staying polite and calm despite the awkwardness. After the massage, I got dressed, and the therapist offered me water, but she did not ask how the session went or how I felt—which I can understand. The 90-minute massage was $130, and I asked for their 10% email discount, which she applied without issue, and I appreciated that. I tipped $10, which I realize isn’t much, but I wanted my gratuity to reflect my level of satisfaction.
It was only during checkout that I learned the therapist was also the owner, which made the situation feel even more awkward. She did suggest that if I return, she would recommend one of her deep tissue specialists—a male or a highly skilled female therapist. While a small discount for a return visit would have been a nice gesture, none was offered, which is understandable.
I may give this place another try, as I do believe it has potential, but I wanted to be transparent in sharing my experience. I did my best to communicate my needs as a client, and while I appreciate the effort, this particular session didn’t quite meet my...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were seeking a couples swedish massage as we had never gotten one. This was the first place we called. Upon calling this location, I knew immediately that it was going to be a pleasant experience and I didn't even bother calling another location (not to say that other locations aren't great as well). Chastity answered the phone with the utmost friendliness and was very informative. She had an available spot for a couples message on the day we had requested. Also, surprisingly, this is one of the only locations that doesn't require a partial/full payment to schedule. On the day of our appointment, we got there, did the paperwork, and were then lead to our room where we spoke with our therapists about our individual needs. It just so happened that chastity (the one who I had spoken on the phone with) was my therapist and a man named Brandon was my girlfriend's therapist. Both were superb, yet different, which let me know that they paid attention to what each of us needed. The room was peaceful. The bed was heated, the music and lighting was soothing, and the whole ambiance was heavenly. I would love to go again. I highly recommend getting at least an hour because I feel like anything less is just not enough. Even an hour goes by quickly! They do offer longer sessions though. They also offer deep tissue massages and other therapeutic options. I can't say enough about the people and this place. So thank you so much Chastity and Brandon! (Hopefully I spelled your...
Read moreHad a wonderful Mother's Day Couples Massage at OS Therapeutic Massage. We had massage therapist Brandon [mine] and Christian [for my hubby]. Absolutely wonderful!
From the moment we arrived at spa, the ambiance was superb. Greeted by very friendly receptionist. The music was very calming, with a combination of soft smooth-jazz and spa sounds.
The heated massage beds were so warm and comfortable.
Brandon's massage style was a great mix & in-between feeling of a Swedish massage and a sports massage, combined with the perfect amount of pressure. It was something I honestly didn't know I needed until I felt it.
We are new to the Coast. We have been looking for the perfect massage location. We've had a lot of massages over the years in Chicagoland area, Wiscosin, Florida, New Orleans, and even a few here in this area. Ocean Spring Therapeutic Massage is simply one of the best ... and the reason I'm typing this review right now as we just finished with our appointments. So good, we even booked our next appointment!
Christian was also really good, firm and relaxing and also focused on trouble-spots where needed.
Truly a five-star therapeutic massage and business. Highly...
