f Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A had a beautiful, delicious love child raised with Southern manners and a drive-thru work ethic, it would be Taco Sombrero in Ocean Springs.
These folks sling tacos like their lives depend on it. I pulled up expecting a normal fast-food experience, but what I got was a spiritual awakening in a tortilla. The staff was so nice I thought I was at a family reunionâwhere the whole family works in synchronized taco harmony.
The drive-thru? Lightning fast. The food? Somewhere between âgrandmaâs secret recipeâ and âwhy am I crying tears of hot sauce joy?â Their taco salad made me reconsider my life decisions. The burritos? Built like theyâre prepping you for hibernation season. And donât even get me started on the salsaâit slaps harder than my abuela when I said I didnât want seconds.
Bottom line: Taco Sombrero is the Chick-fil-A of Tex-Mex. Theyâre polite, fast, and dangerously addictive. 10/10 would get a speeding ticket for...
Read moreLet me preface this by saying I generally never give bad reviews because nothing is usually so offensive that I feel the need to warn others and I worked in the restaurant business for almost 15 years. My husband ate here first. He's not a picky eater at all and generally just appreciates whatever food is in front of his face. He took one bite and didn't finish anymore and told me about it. I thought maybe this was a fluke because it was newly opened so we gave it a few weeks and my kids and I went. Had no clue what to order so got several different things from quesadillas to tacos to some tamale dish with chili con queso on it. It was all terrible. Literally terrible. I'm not picky either and my kids follow suit but more than half of the $30 I spent there went uneaten and thrown away. Taco Bell is better, and that's usually a last resort as is. The current star rating really has me questioning Google's review...

She hands me 4.50 for my change. I asked her if the total was 14.50. She replied yes. I asked how my change could be 4.50 if the total was 14.50 and I gave her 20.50, it should be 6.00. She looked so confused. Some guy behind her asks what's wrong. She tells him, "Her total was 14.50 and she gave me 20.50 and it said her change was 4.50." He said let him pull the order up and looked at the register. Then proceeded to tell me she rang it up wrong and must have corrected it but didn't tell me. My response is but she told me it was 14.50 twice. He continued to say that was wrong. So regardless of what they tell you the order total is, apparently they can charge you whatever they want. I told him keep it and we won't be back. He couldn't...
