Unsatisfied doesn't begin to describe the service I received here. These people are clueless to customer service, or how to do a job. I urge anyone who wants a repair done to go to a real busines.
I dropped off two watches on 11/28. The first I wanted the crystal repaired, the second I wanted the crystal repaired and for them to get it running, no matter what it took. I was told they would be done on 12/12, which was perfect as it would be in plenty of time before Christmas for these two presents.
12/12: I called to make sure they were ready, and was told "The crystals haven't arrived yet." I asked if they could check and see when they would arrive, and was told no. Repeat for days 12/13-17.
12/18: I was told "the girl who does the watch repair has already left, I'll have to find out about them and call you tomorrow."
12/19: "The crystals haven't arrived yet."
12/20: The lady finally realized it's been over a week since they were due to be done. They got my phone number wrong. She promises to call and find out where the crystals are, then update me. I asked about the watch I needed running, and was told it just needed a battery. She called back to say one crystal would be in on Monday (12/24) and the other mid January. She reassured me the one would be completely ready to go on Monday. I said I would be picking up both of the watches on that day. I was told they were sent out to be repaired so I could not pick them up, though "I can tell them to send the other one if you really want to."
12/21: I received a call saying the one watch was ready for pickup, and the other was shipped with it.
12/22: I arrived to pick up my watches, and was told that the one crystal didn't come in, so nothing was changed on it. For the other watch "It isn't running, we put in a battery but the hands are sticking. But the crystal is brand new!"
After speaking with someone else, she fiddled with it for a few, and declared the movement is messed up. I asked her why, after telling them to do whatever necessary to get it going, they didn't, she said "We put a new battery in it, but the battery is fine, the movement is messed up." I told her that they are both meant to be Christmas presents, she told me to give them as presents, but let them know that they will have to be returned to be worked on.
Thank you, W.P. Shelton. You've managed to show a complete lack of customer service, concern for a quality job, and misleading customers on what you can actually accomplish. You've ruined two Christmas gifts, lost a customer, and whoever else this...
Read moreI should have listened to 2 other people that suggested that I go over to Pav & Broome. I was mislead by my first conversation about appraisals. Price seemed reasonable…$100 first Item ; $30 each ( as long as submitted at the same time) I was also told that I might be able to have it later that day BEFORE I actually went in. Crazy vibes! NO SMILES, NO WELCOME GREETINGS!… and this was just upon entry. Then, they had no idea what an amolite was AND they wanted my past appraisals so they would not have to measure the emerald pendant AND “Hello” I gave them the BOX & registrations on the Rolex’s. On my way over to pick them up without the appraisal!!! Apparently YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR…. Would like to add… that I went back to pick up my jewelry & actually apologize for the obvious miscommunication…. !?! The long haired blonde sales girl actually called me “LIAR” wow. Enough said,,...
Read moreVisited W.P. Shelton for an advertised jewelry buying event and had a very negative experience. Associate was condescending and disrespectful. Stated that he was not interested in purchasing the pieces brought in. No problem there, however I expected to be treated with respect at the minimum. When asking questions regarding the perceived valuation of the items in question the associate rolled his eyes and proceeded to make disparaging comments about the quality and size of the jewelry. I’m fully capable of managing my expectations and understand the pieces I presented may not be something the establishment is interested in but they certainly aren’t garbage like the associate treated them, and I at the very least I expected to be treated with respect and basic human decency. Will not be returning and would not recommend this...
