my family & i visited this restaurant on sunday 6/1 around 12pm. we were a party of 7, but we were seated pretty quickly. it is a very open and spacious place. our server, chris (i had to ask for his name) was very nice, however, what started out as a nice experience turned out to be the worst. we had a baby with us and ordered his food with the drinks, so it was brought out pretty quickly, however, 2 of the drinks we ordered didn't come out with the rest so we had to ask for them. as we were talking and waiting, we noticed a table that got seated after us was already receiving their food. at this point we had already been waiting about an hour, so we asked our server about our food and he went to check and came back to tell us that it would be about 10-15 more minutes...there is no way food should take over an hour, UNLESS the server did not put our order in until after we inquired about it, which we found out was the case. we requested that our food be put in to-go boxes because we had to leave. my sister asked for the manager and was told that he would come out to talk to us. someone came out to let us know that our food was being bagged, we asked if he was the manager, and he told us he was the bartender. chris brought us our food and asked if the manager had come out to talk with us, we told him no, and he went back to get the manager, who NEVER came to speak with us. chris told us the manager took 25% off our total bill...well that was a problem because we waited patiently for almost 2 hours for food that was just ok, the breakfast potatoes were cold and the crab cakes were very small & definitely not worth $18. the manager didn't have the common courtesy to come out to speak to us after more than one person told us he would, so we left without paying for anything...this experience was horrible and of course we will not be returning! my advice to the manager would be to support your team! sunday is a big day for breakfast/brunch, and to not see a manager walking the restaurant to make sure everything is going smoothly is pretty sad. chris told us he was new, but someone else told us that he wasn't, so i'm not sure about that. even if he was a seasoned server, everyone has a bad day & that's where good managers come in to...
Read moreNicely decorated and cute coffee mugs. Happy this place has clearly marked gluten free options and uses separate preparation areas for them. I ordered the spinach and mushroom frittata which came with gluten free toast. The frittata was good. The waitress served the GF toast dry without offering butter or jam. Jam options were plastic packets. We ordered 2 sides of “thick sliced bacon” for $7 each (3 slices served per order, total of 6 slices for $14). This bacon was NOT thick sliced bacon and was just ok bacon. It was cooked well, but why are you charging $7 for 3 slices of bacon when that’s more than the price of a single pack of quality bacon at the store? Kids menu had a variety of options and the pancakes were good. Husband had the avocado toast, which was pretty lackluster, looked like the avocado spread had been mixed with Mayo or something similar. He added some of my frittata and hot sauce and which made the avocado toast edible this way. Waitress checked on us a total of one time, had to get up to get our own salt and pepper. Never asked if I wanted a refill on my coffee. Overall, I was happy about the gluten free options and the atmosphere was quite nice. The coffee mugs are very cute and the decor was really pretty. However, I would not return to dine here in the future. There’s a lot that can be improved, such as more accurate menu descriptions and more reasonable pricing for side items. Avocado toast is really difficult to mess up, and I feel like they totally missed the mark here. Giving this place 4 stars because of their GF options and the aesthetics of the restaurant, but service (in off peak hours which is when we ate) and quality of food has much to...
Read moreThis is my first time eating here. The food was actually amazing, however, by the time we got our food, it was insanity. We’ve been sitting there for 30 minutes and we didn’t have water or coffee. When I asked our server about the coffee, he was telling me that he was no longer our server. Which he did not inform us so another girl comes drops of water and then leaves for like 20 minutes. Nobody’s telling us anything so I get up to go figure it out cause we’re outside and then she comes and said oh yeah, I’m your waitress now and I was like well what is taking so long with the coffees? It’s been over 30 minutes. As a business owner myself I understand how hard it is to get people that want to work. However. When you have such an amazing restaurant with amazing food, you have to have an amazing service and you can’t pick who you want to give great service to you. Because When you have such an amazing restaurant with amazing food, you have to have amazing service and you can’t pick who you want to give great service to you. Because here I am giving you two stars on a review because we waited way longer than we should have, and I’m not gonna say it was discrimination, but I felt like it. So whoever owns this business coming from a business owner to another one tighten up your staff and have them go through some kind of proper training. You don’t know who’s walking into your restaurant and what kind of reach...
