So... I had a really good time doing the sea turtle painting... HOWEVER... I would just like to say that one of the employees by the name of ALYSSA was VERY unprofessional. Being the fact that not everyone was given a stool for painting, I grabbed my mother-in-law one from behind the counter.. I guess that was not ok under Alyssaâs standards. She needed somewhere to sit and since the employees couldnât provide the chairs I provided my mother-in-law one. We had friends that were near the stage where one of the employees by the name of Brooke was teaching; she did a great job. She instructed everyone properly, making sure what was going on. However, every 2 mins Alyssa felt it was necessary to call Brooke off the stage and start unnecessary drama. She felt the need to talk about my mother-in-law and I because I grabbed a chair for her... our friends weâre sitting near the stage and when it was time for paint to dry she cane up to me and told me all the stuff that Alyssa had been saying behind our back all because I grabbed a stool... when we confronted her, she acted as if she knew nothing of the sort; denying everything she had said, obviously not knowing we had people there that heard everything she said. All I can say is, it was very unprofessional on Alyssaâs part, being the fact we paid to be there. You do not talk about customers behind their back and start unnecessary drama. We will definitely not be coming back anytime soon, and since I have a high place in Ocean Springs, I will make sure all my friends know of...
Read moreI went with my girlfriend to the paint-your-pet night that they do. We called the day before to confirm the time and they told us 6:30. It actually started at 5. The person that told us that over the phone greeted us and told us she realized the mistake later in the day. I don't know why she didn't take five seconds to notify us. It was a little frustrating to be an hour and a half behind everyone else. That was minor compared to the rest of the event. Besides me and my girlfriend there were three other people there. The two employees/owners were really just focusing on them. They all seemed to know each other and hang out there a lot. One of the employees came by twice to check on us. I said I was struggling the second time because I'm not a very good painter. I told her I wasn't sure of what I could do to not paint over certain areas and keep the dimensions good. She just said "uh huh" and walked away. She didn't propose I do anything like pull up the original photo I was painting or just do small sections at a time (both things i'm thinking of now), she just "Brushed" me off. This was supposed to be an instructional class from what I understand. The people there made no real effort to help me or even suggest things that I could do. Pretty much a night that seemed easy and fun for someone that's amateur at painting was turned into a DIY project. Unless you're interested in gossiping with some older women about local school districts and already know how to paint fairly well, I would not recommend going to BYO...
Read moreUpdate: I STILL have not received the refund I was promised almost a week ago now. Seriously? And to top it off, I haven't even received a return call after my message. I just want to be done with this business.
I am less than thrilled with this establishment. I purchased five âyou chooseâ tickets that were to be valid from 4-8p on Saturday, August 4th. We show up at 6:35p and are greeted by a girl who offers no sympathy or apologies when she tells us they canât take groups after 6:30p. 1. Why did you not say this on your website? Or in the confirmation email? Or give a courtesy call to explain this? She had no answers to any of these questions and minimal people skills. 2. I had to ASK her for a refund. Excuse me?! To which she replies, âIâll have my boss do thatâ. You are incapable of processing a refund? This is ridiculous and put a damper on our night bachelorette weekend, so thank you for that. I will be calling back until I...
