Visited the new food hall with several of my friends. The atmosphere is really cool, and the concept is nice. That’s nearly where the praises end. Small portions; extremely expensive, and poor quality food. This is the south. We have good food. This is not good food. We went around looking at the different options, and several of us tried different things so here is the rundown:

Mawi Tortillas - $2 off street tacos on Tuesdays!! They are VERY small but considering the chicken and shrimp only cost $2 each on Tuesdays, just get a lot of them if you’re hungry. Mawi was by far the highlight of the food hall. 8/10

Proof - A few us tried a drink and they were great! I asked the bartender to surprise me, and he made me a great drink. Honestly no idea what was in it except gin. 8/10 only bc a bit expensive. $14 for my drink.

Chicago - Did not try myself, but friends who ordered the gyros and cheesesteak said it was good but a bit pricey for what you get. Burger looked like the same patties they use on cafeteria burgers.

Crude raw bar - My friend and I both tried the beach bum poke bowl. It was awful. $20 for the smallest portion (you can get a big bowl absolutely loaded for less than this at other poke spots). The rice was hard and old, tuna was low quality, and it was so salty we could not finish our meals. 2/10

Charcuterie Maker - My friend ordered a meal here and waited 15-20 minutes just for the employee to inform her they didn’t have the ingredients for that dish. He was not serving anyone else in the mean time as we sat right next to the restaurant. He made her something else and it was basically just crusty bread, cold cheese, and some kind of smoked meat sandwich (tiny). She just asked for a refund and did not eat the food.

Sugar cubed - I have heard good things about the sister bakery Sweet Enchantments so we tried several things from here hoping a sweet treat might save the meal. We tried the marshmallows, three or four different flavors of macarons, the brownie, the s’mores sammie, and the homemade Oreo. I’ve had better desserts from Walmart bakery. The marshmallows didn’t taste like anything except sugar. No vanilla or anything. The macarons were okay. Nothing special. Good variety of flavors though. The brownie was the best of the bunch but the chocolate tasted low quality and a bit bitter. $7 but was pretty big. The s’mores sammie was just two dry/hard cookies with one of the marshmallows between. Maybe would’ve been better warmed but when I bit into it it just shattered apart. The homemade Oreo was...

Sunday Vibes at CRAVE Food Hall + PROOF Cocktail Bar

Tucked into the heart of Ocean Springs at 1515 Government Street, CRAVE Food Hall + PROOF Cocktail Bar is a gem that turned a casual Sunday into a mini adventure. After some light shopping, we stopped in for a cocktail and was instantly impressed by the vibe—chic, relaxed, and full of flavor.

I kicked things off with two espresso martinis from PROOF Cocktail Bar, and they were nothing short of exceptional. Smooth, bold, and perfectly balanced—exactly what you want when you’re easing into the afternoon.

While sipping, I noticed my neighbor enjoying a hotdog that looked too good to ignore. He pointed me toward Chicago 6 Street Food, and I’m glad he did. Their Chicago dog was scrumptious—loaded with flavor and just the right amount of snap.

CRAVE is the kind of place that makes you want to linger. Whether you’re cruising by, browsing local shops, or just craving a great cocktail and bite, it’s the perfect Sunday stop. Highly recommend—and I’ll...

No idea where the 5 star reviews came from?! I tried Crude, Beach Bum Poke bowl. Tiny portion for the price. Not sure why they're asking for a tip, when I stand there to order & have to keep checking the counter to see when I need to go back & pick it up myself? After providing the tip at check out is when I was told to just check the counter every 10 minutes for my dish. Rice was very undercooked. A few small sprigs of seaweed were placed on top by hand. Two thin strips of spicy mayo sauce across the top was all the seasoning in the dish. Bland cruchy rice is what the dish tastes like. Did not finish my food.

No drinks were available at the food place I chose. After finding a bottle of water at another vendor, there was noone to ring it up.

I have no reason to recommend or return; based on price for quantity, food...

Okay, listen up. Y’all need to come here and experience it. There are 6 food stall spread throughout the venue all centered around a bar. You can order all food from any food stall via QR code from any place and it will be delivered to your seat. For instance, you are sitting at a bar, sipping on a cold on. If you want ceviche from a raw bar, you don’t have to get up but can order it from your phone and it will be delivered to the bar. Near. Big parking garage behind all this. The grass area is dog and kid friendly. Awesome location to spend your summer and enjoy Ocean Springs.
