Went in today (6-1-25 @ around 3 pm) to pick up my dog's meds at the pharmacy. Getting into the store alone makes you feel like it's Ft. Knox. The Long lines were backed up because you have to scan your membership card to get in.
We finally got into the store and it was mad chaos, people everywhere running on top of each other. Making our way to the pharmacy was a labyrinth. Most of the people were in the long lines at checkouts, the rest were mindlessly wandering trying to find things they needed.
We walked up and stood in line for our turn at the pharmacy pickup counter only to be confronted with a snotty attitude by the employee behind the counter. We hadn't even spoken a syllable when he decided to tell us that the pharmacy wasn't open on Sundays. As he put it, "We've never been open on Sundays, EVER!" He has the most hateful attitude and snarkiness I've ever encountered by an employee. He looked to be in a manager position but he had no identification that we could see, so we weren't sure if he was an employee or a customer. He continued to mutter loudly about how people showing up and not knowing the hours. Here's the thing, we just moved here and are new. There was no reason for him to behave in such a distasteful manner towards us.
After this ugly encounter alone, has made us REALLY consider keeping our executive membership any longer.
We ended up getting our groceries and fighting the crowd. It took us over an hour to get 6 items and weave our way to the cashiers.
The whole checkout system is a convoluted mess! Removing the scanning guns for big items and leaving the CSRs (customer service rep) in charge of those was a big mistake. The CSRs are way too busy chuckling it up to be bothered by customers. This isn't the first or the last having to flag a CSR down to help, that is if you're not making an absolute fool of yourself batting your hand in the air to coax one to come over you may be waiting awhile. It's not a wonder why the lines are backed up into the snacks aisles and furthermore.
This store's employees need retraining on how to be professional, common courtesy, and leaving the attitude outside the doors. Customers don't come to your store to be treated with such disrespect. Not only this but the whole checkout system needs revamping. It's ridiculous having to get the receipt and count items before allowing us to leave. It clogs up the whole front end as customers have to wait, again after paying, just to leave.
Costco is supposed to be a cutting-edge wholesaler club, yet Sam's Club has the scan-and-go app and the technology to check our carts as we walk out the door. Not to mention professionalism from employees and attentiveness....
Read moreCostco is a good place for shopping. This location in OKC is well stocked and clean. Most employers are friendly, but the supervisors are very rude and abrupt. Yesterday I was so disappointed, being treated like a bum by the supervisors at the front service counter. On the way check out at the door, a very young man ripped my receipt with his marker, I don't know how because the marker isn't sharp enough to poke through paper, he must yanked it hard and ripped the receipt. He asked me if I needed the receipt, yes , I need it for those items I bought for my friend. He sent me to the service counter to have them print another receipt, the lady here took my Costco's card, went to the back office, I was in a hurry to go home after spending a long time at Costco , I asked her to give me back my card so I can leave, then the supervisor man came, he looked at me with a serious mean face and asked me "WHAT DO YOU WANT? " I wish I could record this one my phone. I couldn't believe what I heard, it is a very inappropriate way to talk to customers when it came to a problem situation. Especially he works for Costco, worldwide companies, he represented the company to serve community, other than that it's a attitude towards public for a gentleman. I don't know is it about races or anything else, but I left Costco with tears. I've noticed that several times here at this location, the supervisors never break a smile to customers, and talk very abruptly. I'm from the west coast California, I do not have this kind of problem, I don't see this kind of attitude, he's a good looking man, but he has bad attitude. Costco needs attention on their employees. I will call corporate and talk about this matter on behalf of Costco shoppers. We spend money here, we should not being treated like this. Maybe more locations needed here in OKC would help to eliminate this shameful. Maybe someone doesn't care, but I've seen reviews from other customers visited Costco had this...
Read moreI was excited to shop at Costco after hearing how great their selections were. I paid for my membership online to avoid the paperwork in person and was instructed to pickup my physical card at the membership desk. Mind you, this is my first time at Costco. As soon as I walked in, MONICA (the door greeter) was very rude and demanded to see my card, to which I told her that I had already paid for it and need to find the membership desk so I can get my physical card. She rudely tells me that the membership desk is behind the huge wall of products. (Hard to locate when there is a huge wall of products blocking the membership desk) I thanked her anyways and as I’m u-turning my cart and am having to walk back out to get to the membership desk on the other side, I hear her say under her breath loud enough for me to hear, “yeah, you cannot be in here if you do not have your card. You are not welcomed to shop here.” I turned around as soon as I heard her say that and told her that there was no reason for her to make that rude comment. She probably didn’t hear me because she didn’t respond. So no apologies were given by her. But that was extremely rude for a “door greeter” to say/do when their job is to literally greet people and be welcoming. Didn’t get that experience at all. Please retrain those door greeters to do better, be more considerate, and not demand for cards. Some customers are new and do not know. Like myself. To top it off, they don’t take Discover cards either. I really wanted to like it after all the things that my friends had said. But unfortunately, my first experience was not a good one. I just made my membership today, but I’ve already cancelled it due to this...
