They lied to me and told me to install rear speakers in my 05 Accord they would have to take the brake light out! All you do is remove speaker covers, loosen 4 bolts, and unplug a harness. $350 is insanity. You can do this install at home in 30 minutes or less. And by the way, the lie was the brake light AS A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO THE PRICE. You in fact did say, "150 for the front, and 350 IF ITS THE REAR BECAUSE WE HAVE TO TAKE THE BRAKE LIGHT OUT." That statement is a falsehood sir. No light need be removed, ever, on those cars. That was the lie, I rest my case, and stand on this review. I told you I suspected at least one speaker was blown but did not know if it was in the front or back. You quoted 150 for the front, and 350 for the back. I made it clear I needed either front or back only replaced, not all 4. So any price you gave me should have been for two, logically speaking. You counted on me having no working knowledge of my car's rear deck. Accords are common cars, and I know that you know rear speakers in them come out easily. You knowingly lied about the difficulty of the install to inflate the price. Your good reviews come from innocent, unknowledgable people, who do not know they have been overcharged. If you can slide one by, you will. Just like that broken amp you sold. You should not have to wait to be called out to offer a solution. Do it right the first time. I am not the hater. Liars don't "trump hate with love". Honest people love by telling the truth. Just admit you lied about the brake light dude. No need for a broken English philosophical rant. Don't flip this one around on me either and blame the victim. You're wrong and you got caught and anything but a polite apology only makes my case. I gave you a bad review because you lied about my light. If you wont address that as the issue then you are...
Read moreUPDATE! (2.0)[civilized] Quoted one price and charged hundreds more when I went to pick up the car. He told me that he had to purchase the carpet from an auto dealer( wanted $200 more for that) AMAZING looks just like the same materiel that every sub box is made out of. For the coup de grace he told me that he was putting in a JL audio top of the line amp, and puts in a power acoustic razor amp that can be bought at Walmart for $110 bucks. IT GETS BETTER! After taking my new vehicle to a well respected Auto installation shop I find out they hooked the amp up directly to the battery instead of the accessory so the amp was on all the time , since it was tucked behind a panel in the back of the vehicle you couldn't see that the power(light) didn't go out even when the car was turned off! If you want to get fleeced like a sheep, by all means hurry on in to Nick's I guarantee he's got his sheers ready for you!! Here is what baffles me..... i looked up the MOST EXPENSIVE I COULD FIND for all of the components and materials that you used; sub box [$50] RF Punch (2p) Sub [$170] PA razor amp [$110] carpet [$30] 8 gauge Wiring kit /w fuse [$26] 8ft. sheet of #/4 MDF [$25] all totaled = $411 dollars. The car was in the shop for 1 day. You charged me $1400.00. The highest Audio Technician pay I found on the web is $36/hr times 8 hours = $288 added together is $987. Since you want to implicate that I am untruthful in what we both know honestly did happen, I felt compelled to post the TRUTH. I also noticed you didn't bother to deny the fact that the amp was draining my battery every time my car was turned off, or that you gave me a crummy amp. I think that letting the public hear what may be in store for them is simply me doing my duty as a good...
Read moreI had a really bad experience with this shop. To clarify, they didn’t install my system. I went to them for help because my Nemesis amp was overheating, and the shop that originally installed it told me nothing was wrong and didn’t want to touch my truck.
Instead of actually diagnosing the issue, this shop told me Nemesis amps are “cheap and no good,” and convinced me to replace mine with a Rockford Fosgate amp. They also told me I needed an extra battery, guaranteeing that would stop the overheating. I even mentioned that I didn’t think my system was big enough to need a second battery, but I trusted them since they’re a professional shop.
The brand-new amp they sold me still overheats. On top of that, I’ve now gone through two alternators since. They even suggested I might need a bigger alternator, which I doubt is the issue I’m only running two 8s on a 1200-watt amp. I have a friend with a system with a 3000 watt amp on a stock alternator and he don’t have issues Clearly, the real problem is wiring, and I strongly believe there’s a short circuit somewhere. Now I’ll have to pay someone else to completely rewire the system. If the battery was really the issue, it should have solved the problem, but it didn’t and I’m still left with major electrical issues.
In the end, I wasted money on an amp and a battery I didn’t need. I don’t think they’re bad people, but their diagnosis was wrong, and I’m now stuck with equipment that doesn’t fix the issue. A refund on the amp and battery they sold me would definitely help...
