I ordered a funeral arrangement through From You Flowers for my Grandfathers service 10 days prior to the date of the service and never received the flowers that they insisted were delivered. I spent way too much time arguing with someone in a warehouse in god knows what country, and they offered no resolution outside of FINALLY issuing me a refund, which still left me flowerless for the service the next day.

My husband searched local florists on a whim (mainly due to my PURE PANIC at the thought of not being able to appropriately honor my Grandfather with the arrangement I had planned to furnish at the church) and actually got an answer on Labor Day of all days. I was certain no one would be able to help, nevertheless answer the phone on a holiday!

Carla was more than gracious in hearing my woes and immediately offered up a solution that could be ready the next morning. She offered to go to multiple locations to gather the masculine floral colors I had hoped for, and made my potential worst nightmare turn into a beautiful blessing. She agreed to meet me close to my own home early the next morning and showed up with a stunning basket arrangement that ended up being the centerpiece of my Grandfather’s last goodbye. Carla saved the day, the arrangement was more beautiful than I could have hoped for.

I certainly learned my lesson, don’t bother trying to save a few bucks by counting on one of those large chain floral suppliers to deliver when you have such a helpful and genuinely talented floral designer right in your own backyard. Elements is my new “go to” source for everything floral, and I’ll tell everyone I know to call Carla before anyone else!

We hired Elements Flowers, Carla, as our florist for our wedding at the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme. We already had an idea for the types of flowers we wanted, we provided photo ideas from Pinterest, and they were great at executing that vision. The flowers we needed were for the bride and bridesmaids bouquets, corsages for our moms, boutonnières for the groom, our dads, the groomsmen and mini boutonnières for our nephews. We also had 2 large floral swags for our wedding arch/chuppah and I thought they looked beautiful. We also rented the wedding arch/chuppah from her. She took our linen/tallit that we supplied and put it on the top of the chuppah frame, it looked so nice. We decided to make our own centerpieces to save money but we definitely still wanted some beautiful real flowers. It was Carla’s suggestion to bring over the bouquets and floral swags to the reception for additional decor and it was a great idea. She delivered our flowers except for the floral swag to the Old Lyme Inn across the street from the Florence Griswold to our bridal party that was getting ready there. We received so many compliments from guests about how pretty the flowers looked, especially the flowers on top of the wedding arch/ chuppah. My sister lives in Old Lyme CT and I live in Michigan. Last week was her birthday and I wanted to send her some deck pots and a hanging basket. I went online and saw the great reviews for Elements so I gave them a call. I spoke to Carla and even though she was unable to help me with the order because her stock was so low after Mother's Day, she gave me the number to Scott's Farm in Essex. She told me they had quality flowers and they could help me make an order. Then she said she was going to Essex the next day and would actually go pick up my order and then deliver it to my sister in Old Lyme! She told me to email her after everything was set and then she called me back to confirm. I told her I would be happy to pay her for all her efforts with pick up and delivery and she declined my offer. I feel that Carla went way above and beyond to help a lady from Michigan make her sister from CT very happy.
