Pretty great sandwiches. Yes, the price is a little steep but at the same time, so is real estate in Old Lyme. It's hard for businesses to serve the community and still do well with a physical location. We have to start cutting small business owners some slack on rent if we want cheaper prices on the food. Maybe throw in a bag of chips for lunch items (or a cookie), and I think the price would settle a bit with people. The lack of a restroom is real. Hit up Big Y if you really gotta go. I stopped in here twice for coffee. It’s small but very charming. It has some boutique dry goods nicely merchandised in the store. Their menu offerings range from breakfast to lunch sandwiches. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a fan of the iced latte here. I had a breakfast sandwich with wilted greens - it was fine but definitely not bowled over by it. The portion was small & it lacked flavor. I know they get their eggs from their chickens & they tout their fresh ingredients. I will come by again for another try at their food & coffee. The staff were all very friendly, helpful & efficient. This is thee cutest cafe they have their own little chicken coop too! The outside seating area is so cute with lots of flowers. On site parking is available. I stop here for the breakfast sandwich and I can confirm it’s 10/10. The pricing isn’t bad either. The bun is so soft and airy so it doesn’t feel as heavy as a bagel.
